walang paraan para ma-exclude ang mga non-technical threads

.. the best thing that we can do is avoid hijacking technical threads.. ok lang magkwentuhan basta dun sa "out of the laboratory section".. may mga technical threads kasi na humahaba lang dahil sa "chat" hehehehe..

I think thread hijacking was one of the reason why our dearest mangkanor requested to "Trim" down the "Prettiest Engineering Student Thread". wala na daw pics at panay chat na lang ang nandun which was way way off topic na..

Buti pa kapag di related na comment sa thread be it technical or nontechnical, automatic remove na.

You can always pm the threadstarter or yung nagreply sa thread kung off topic na ang pag-uusapan nyo or gawa kayo panibago na thread.

Yung thank you na replies at smileys, auto remove na rin, mas maigi yun para yung imprtant comments lang ang retained sa technical sections.

ang general discussion thread intended originally as the "chit-chat" section kaso lang meron na tayong "out of the laboratory section".

So basically, ang general discussion section dapat mga posts na related pa rin sa engineering wether by means of the academia,profession,news,etc..

minsan nalilito ako kung saan ako magstart ng topic, pag sa outside para kasing walang section dun na pwedeng pag lagyan, kaya ang ginagawa ko sa general discussion nalang ako nag start ng topic.

Yep. kaso lang we have to be very very careful and be very very specific in deleting unrelated posts.. If we get too strict, we are going to kill the "interaction" among the members kasi magiging paranoid na mag-post ang mga yan, they would be afraid to ask questions anymore thinking na baka ma-delete lang yung comments nila or they may get annoyed because their posts are always getting deleted.. We also need the "thank you replies" para malaman naman nung nag-reply na na-aapreciate yung answers niya at para ma-encourage pa siya na tumulong pa sa ibang posters.. Yung mga thank you at smileys na lang kasi ang nagiging consolation nung mga posters kaya dapat andun din yun..

For now, no deletion of posts muna but we will be reminding every members to exercise quality postings and avoid "chat" style postings in the "technical thread sections".. Post na lang tayo ng sticky topic about this..
