adder and subtractor ciruit (help plz!!)

help po to design a combinational circuit that adds/subtract the 2 digit numbers that produce a sum/difference number in BCD.This circuit must accept 1 for addition and 0 for subtraction..Using a 7-segment display for the result,as well as for negative number..LED may an indicator for negative sign..help po plz... ??? ???

Sorry brother hindi ko to nabasa ang threadmo,patawad kung napabayaan namin to..
sana hindi pa huli ang post ko...

multiple adders ang gamitin mo ,tapos ang FIrst Carry in(Cin) mo sa adder ay dapat  nakaground for addition at Vcc naman kapag subtraction...

For your reference.. use the Book of Dueck:CPLD and VHDL programming
or kay Morres Mano and Kime na Digital Electronics .2nd edition: pp. 127 -147...

I prefer kay Morres Mano kasi malinaw ang pagkaexplain niya.. For your negative sign /postive sign..gumamit ka ng 7485 ng IC to determine kung malaki ba o maliit ang subtrahend mo..

sa input mo pa lang, say A7-A0 compared agad sa B7-B0 na data inputs... so parang look ahead sign bit ang mangyayari for the sa sign bit mo... 

cascaded Full Adder and cascaded 7485 can make infinite data inputs... try kitang gawan ng simple example mamayang gabi... balik ka dito sa forum mamayang gabi....

Try googling for a "decimal adder".

To perform BCD adding, you need two 4-bit binary adders. The first adder simply adds binary and the second adder adds the constant 6 (0110b) to the result if the sum is greater than 9.

To perform 2 digit BCD adding, you therefore need 4 pieces 4-bit adders plus some more logic.

Here is the schematic interpretation of what I just said. Check it out and see if it is right. I think you should study how to understand English first before trying to learn logic gates.

Anyway, the schematic is just for an adder. I will let you WIKI how to include the subtracter.
