So far none as of this time, no plan to remove the CW ( morse code ) element in the amateur examination in Philippines, in US they already remove the code test for their amateur examination.

With respect to the persons who know the code very well. I think we should consider to exclude it in the exam, there are many digital modes in use now using PC, this includes CW transmission and reception also. I think this is an option to the person to consider if he/she will study/use the CW (morse code) manually.

Hope other will agree, any comments? no argue pls ;)  :)

I agree with you.  Unfortunately there are many (not all) amateurs here who are after hogging the frequency by depriving the use of frequencies to others.  This is akin to trying to speak Latin when everyone else speaks a different and modern language.  Keeping the code for Class A is a last ditch effort but I know that one day they will find themselves as the cave men.

in a catastrophic event of being denied access to digital communication or even analog communication by voice or data, morse code would be a lifesaver.

morse code as is. i know most of radio amateurs these days inclined not to have it anymore but as we go back in time and understand the reasons why they have the cw, its because, cw provides the most reliable mode of communication even if the propagation on the HF bands were low. thats true, the high pitch tone of the cw enables the ssb radios to deliver maximum rf output thus making it possible to reach more distance as compared to voice communication on the ssb. you'll understand it better if you are an operator of ssb radios on the hf bands. one more thing, cw separates ham operator from bootleggers. hihi. 73 de dv1vss
