FPGA concerns...
« on: November 05, 2009, 08:14:39 PM »

start with these babies first... experiment lang ba or kailangan na fpga agad?

example:

port1 = port2 x port3
port4 = port5 x port6

'di simultaneous magagawa sa MCU, sa FPGA pwedeng i-set na 'yun 'yung functions kaya pwedeng simultaneous.

     Yung sa E-gizmo is only a CPLD/FPGA on a board.  You can program it with the accompanying programming parallel cable.  You can access the CPLD/FPGA pin via terminal connectors.

     While the one found in BEST ( http://bestinc.ph/products.php?c=0&p=42 ) is already a CPLD/FPGA development kit that comes with the programming cable, four 7-seg display, 8 LEDs, 8 DIP switches, 5 push button switches, an RS-232 port and a manual with sample codes for each component modules.  You can also order separately a ADC/DAC module for the kit.  BEST also gives demonstration and free seminar in using the CPLD/FPGA development kit.

     So if you already know how to use a CPLD/FPGA, I suggest go for the E-gizmo module (a lot cheaper) but if you are just starting then go for the development kit of BEST.

@ckiana,

tnx for the info ;)

meron siyang part na similar sa FPGA, pero in terms of raw performance and digital hardware miniaturization, hands down talaga sa FPGA.
