A friend of mine gave me a velleman pic kit, it uses propic2 programmer. I'm trying to burn the hex file created by ccs. Problem is I can't make it work. Ginawa ko nang hex16,hex8 and binary yung output hex file and still walalng nangyayari, pero kung hex created by mplad ang ginamit ko, wala namang problem.

Wala syang error during writing sa flash and no error during build sa CCS PCW.

Diba ang CCS PCW pang PIC Micro lang.? I don't think it will compile for a 8048 target MCU.

8048 might refer to the product number not the target 8048 MCU. It programs PIC yeah i just checked

8048 po yung product name ng pic micro evaluation module nya. Gumagana naman yung JDM programmer ko, pero sya hindi.....

mplab/mpasm po ang gamit ko sorry po hindi mplad..

Oops my bad. Just checkd the site. Indeed it is for a PIC.

BTW, I worked with the Intel 8048 MCU before someone introduced me to PICs. Shows my age.

Guys, thanks.... Nagawa ko na po. Hehehehe. Ginamit ko kasi yung cdr king's usb-rs232. I wasn't able to properly set the whole thing so hindi sya gumana. And it takes me an hour to figure it out....

....marami nga tayo... 6502 pa lang ang usong uP, enthusiast na tayo:D

If I'm not mistakin, 8048 was the MCU used by the first IBM PC keyboard. I really feel home here than any other forum

Hmmm, I got married at just the legal age for Filipinos (graduating pa lang ako noon) and my eldest who was born a year later is already first year ECE now in La Salle. That wil give you my age.
