Hi everyone!

I am having problem as to the latest OS will I install on this POWER MAC G4 CUBE and can run smoothly. Any recommendations, please? :'(

I think Panther or even Tiger should be ok
Ano yung speed ng G4 processor at size ng RAM?

Specs:

Processor speed = 450 MHz
Hard disk = 20 GB
Memory = 64 MB

Pwedeng pataasin iyong memory kaso processor ang problema.

I suggest increase mo yung ram to 512MB (to decrease the need for paging to/from the harddisk) esp if you go with Tiger
Try mo din increase yung harddisk to at least 80GB
Gawin mo na lang external USB drive yung 20GB (lalagyan ng iTunes library)
or you can format it to MSDOS para readable/writable from a Windows machine
In my case I have a 30GB USB drive used for transferring files between my Mac and other Windows machines. Nababasa din sya ng DVD player ko. Very handy for watching DIVX movies

Oo nga e. Masyadong mababa RAM niya. At least 512 MB will do.

Iyong hard disk patataasin din pero subukan ko lang muna gamitin itong 20 GB para makita ko performance. Iba rin yata ang hard disk niya sa mga commercially available a. Tama ba? Hindi ko ulit matanggal CPU niya. Na-stock. Tsk tsk.

My ganito ka rin asicboy? :-/

i think 512MB should be good enough =)
when you shop for a bigger memory, make sure yung compatible (PC-100 ata)
problem with older memories ay mas mahal

yung dati kong iBook 30GB yung HD. i think kumakain ng 4GB yung Panther
so as long as wala kang malaking iTunes at iPhoto library ok lang yung 20GB
any 3.5" ATA drive (not SATA) should be ok for the G4 Cube

currently Mac Mini ang PC ako
no worries about viruses or malicious websites =)

Ah.. maraming salamat asicboy..

Hindi ko na ito lalagyan ng iTunes saka iPhoto..

Common desktop applications lang naman daw..

Iyong RAM lang kailangan talagang pataasin..

Tiger pala ilalagay ko.. currently downloading..

Mac mini? Ayos din ah. Mas maganda nga naman iyan kaysa dito. Hay hey.
