a little explanation...

EMI is proportional to the current and the area of its loop i.e. from the source to destination back to source...

kung yung wires mo spread apart ng 1 mm, 1 meter long wire will have an area of 1000 mm^2...kung twisted yung wire mo, near 0 yung area mo kaya lessened yung effect ng noise current...

Lahat ng sagot ay tama, and this one hits the bulls eye. Once a wire forms a loop, it acts as a radiator and receptor (antenna, if you will). Twisting the wires together eliminate this loop and minimizes this problem. Twisting will also keep the impedance of the wire constant over its lenght. This is also a good thing.
