i would say PIR (Passive infrared sensor ) is also a THERMAL Sensor.
a microwave doppler sensor is also recommended.

when implementing human detection make sure walang nuisance signals like candles, heating/cooling systems. magfafalse trigger yan. security guards hated when they are notified for false alarms.

hi, ganyan din project study namin ngayon, anti theft system, naghahanap din kami ng sensors.
anu kaya maganda,suggestions?
pinaplano namin gumamit ng plc as the controller of the system,hindi kasi kami mgaling sa electronics..

may gumawa na samin nito..

ganto yung ginawa nila..

sa harapan naglagay sila ng LDR, ang source yung ilaw na nakalagay sa lugar na yun.. sample terrace yun.

kung sakaling makakalampas dun..

naglagay naman sila ng mga infra sa mismong loob ng house..
pag nablock..mag-aalarm.

naglagay din sila ng cam..
lets say webcam yun.. nakafocus ang cam na yun sa isang specific na lugar..
..halimbawa dun sa cabinet na pinagtataguan mo ng mga alahas mo..
ngayon..pag may nadetect yung cam na pagbabago dun sa nakaset na normal situation..
mag aalarm ang cam at magbabato ng message sa email mo..
