meron at merong darating na bagong OS, na pwedeng mas powerful sa iba, pero depende pa rin sa availability ng softwares na kailangan ng tao ang desisyon kung ano ang mas gagamitin.

sabi nga ng boss ko, 'di naman absolute 'yung mga ginagamit. parang years ago Procedural ang ginagamit na language, ngayon Object Oriented na. nasa gagamit na lang talaga.

specialized OS talaga ang most powerful. imagine noong maliliit pa ang RAM like 32kB, ang dami ng kayang gawin ng mga specialized computer tulad ng ginagamit sa mga spacecraft. ;D ;D ;D

Impakta XP = Windows XP
ImpakTux = Linux
ImpakTix = Unix
Plain Impakta = Mac
Impaktos = DOS

:), pasensya na din. medyo iniiwasan na din kasi yang ganyan debate hehehe. ilang dekada na rin kasing me mga ganyang katanungan at wala namang malinaw na sagot hanggang ngayun. wag na sana nating ulitin dito at wala din tayong hahantungan :)

as a system and data analyst i tend to weave almost daily about 300gb of data... i personally use mysql running on linux CentOS and asterix for voip... as far as i could tell... it rarely go beyond 100% utilized! there is NO SUCH POINT on what operating system you're using! THERE IS NO SUCH THING! it's like comparing which is better? apples or oranges or banana!

game consoles, electronic instrument, mcu/fpga/dsp, they all have unique operating systems. some runs java (nakita ko lang sa scope ni tita born) some runs realtime os running reading gigasamples of serial data... i'm amazed of how these programmers develop software for such machines...

anyways... operating system... is just an operating system that rely on the hardware.
