@boin3n
hanap ka na lang ng torrent.. (MathCAD 14 ata ang latest)..
note: I DON'T PROMOTE SOFTWARE PIRACY..
it's for personal/educational purpose only..

I highly recommned MathCAD for engineering college students..
kung may background ka na sa math, para ka lang nag-aaaral ng Microsoft Word nito..  :D
kaya nyang masolve majority ng mga engineering math problems
like this Fourier Series (back to topic. hehe.  ;D )

pede pahelp po everything about fourier series? malapit na kami magquiz & wala pa ko maintindihan... pls & tnx u!

iirc ... Fourier Series bascially says that any periodic function can be represented by the sum of sinusoidal functions, i.e., sin and cos functions, whose frequencies are the harmonics of the fundamental frequency (plus the DC component if any). As shown by julznc's post, the more harmonics you use to approximate the periodic function, the closer you get to the actual function.

The fundamental frequency is easily determined in a given problem, what remains to be solved are the magnitudes for each harmonic, i.e., the Fourier coefficients. In many cases, you only need to solve for the sine (or cosine) coefficients as well as only the coefficients for the odd (or even) harmonics, depending on the symmetry of the periodic function.

Meron namang formula para dun sa mga coefficients. Basta marunong kang mag-integrate, kayang-kaya na yun. Practice lang.  ;)

It might be worth noting that Fourier Series is used in digital imaging systems such as CT Scanners and MRI machines in hospitals. Without Fourier Series, those machines would not have been invented. Unlike your digicam, those machines do not produce images optically. Instead, data is collected from "transducers", then subject the data to processing which includes Fourier calculations, and the result is a cross-sectional image of the anatomy.  ;D

Yong Wavelet po, ano po yon?  mas ok daw ito kaysa Fourier.
It's difficult to see the picture when you're inside the frame.
