YUP! ok na ok for motor temp sense..
i think maganda ito ilagay sa LOOB nang motor kasama sa windings...
as it would act as a thermal protect and thermal monitoring.... meaning kung working pa sya but getting hotter pwede na ma-notify yung operator na babaan yung duty cycle nang pag gamit nang motor...

i used a welding machine before that got this feature. auto off kpag mainit tas may timer kung kelan ka ulit pwede mag weld... (this feature can be overrriden)

you'll have to put it in a copper/steel shield of course.
i basta stationary yung position nya pwede.
if rotating naman may microcontrollers na may RF module built in.
mainly ginagamit sa tire pressure monitoring so malamang pwede din kung malalaking motors yung minimaintain mo.

di naman cguro mapektuhan. Yun nga lang gaya nang sabi ni Martin may fabricate ka na extra.
Pero wat ba purpose mo in monitoring the temp.? Kasi dito nakabasi san mo i lalagay ang sensor.
Kung ayaw mo agad masunog ----- sa windings pero wag mo hayaang lumapat sa katawan ng motor dahil mag aact as heatsink to at delay umakyat ang temp ng katawan ng sensor mo.

bali ang project namin kasi ehh thermal monitor and overheat protector of a motor. So kelangan imonitor ang temp ng motor so pag-abot nito sa kanyang limitasyon eh siya na kusang mamatay. gagamit pa kami ng pic16f877 para siya na maglimit kung gaano kainit bago mgshut off ang machine.

Use a thermistor, at least mas nakakasiguro ka na di apektado ng magnetic flux or ng interference.

Sister pede mo din gamitin yung suggestion ni Sis Glenjoy....di naman cguro medical or biologocal control gagawin mo na sobrang critical pag nag fail. good engineering is a simple solution to complex problem.....oks
