Capacitive Proximity Sensor vs. Laser Sensor
« on: January 23, 2010, 10:30:31 AM »
Good day everyone.. I'm new here. Need help po sana, we're having problems on our final project..  anu po bang mas magandang gamitin?  Heto po ung mga tanung ko:

1. Anu po mas mgandang gamitin? Proximity or the laser sensor?
2. Advantages and Disadvantages ng both sensor?

Di pa po kasi namin na-tackle ung operation ng proximity sensors. Ung laser sensor, gamit po ung LDR and a laser pointer. Kung ok lang po sana na makihingi ng any references tungkol sa both na pwede naming gamitin as advantages and disadvantages ng both sensor. Or ung mga actual test ng both sensors. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks and more power to Electronicslab!  :)

Depende sa application mo meron pros and cons ang both sensors.

If you are using LDR and laser pointer it means you are using an object to cut the laser beam to detect that object.

A capacitive sensor works differently. It senses a change in capacitance resulting when an object comes near it. Usually proximity sensors (capacitive or inductive) have very short sensing distances - usually less than 2mm.

So ano ba ang object na i detect nyo? How do you want it detected?
The world, as everybody knows, is analog; unless, of course, it's digitized.
