DAC IC's pratical applications

Meron pala akong DAC IC TLC7528.. http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/tlc7528.html
samples nakuha ko sa TI, way back in college, nakalkal ko ngayon sa aking toolbox.. hehe ;D


ano kayang pwedeng gawin dito ?  ???
anong (exciting) experiment ang pwede dito ?  ???  ;D
saan nga ba kasi usually ginagamit ang mga DAC IC's ?  ???

ang alam ko lang kasi is yung ADC (particularly yung mga built in sa microcontrollers),
meron din bang microcontrollers na may built-in DAC module?  ???

pwede siguro to control a small dc motor

parang ganito ang setup

MCU --> DAC --> current amp --> dc motor

i think, hindi 'to praktikal..  ::)
mas maganda pa rin ata yung simple PWM sa dc motor..

multi-purpose wave generator(pede generate any wave shape ladder sine/cos/square/saw wave di nga lang perfect na wave)..
pede ring voltage controlled resistor gamit.. Microcontroller -> DAC-> OpAmp-> FET
ano pa ba high fidelity sound output.. instead of pulses/pwm you can synthesize a real wave form.. 8bit/16bit

Pwedeng gamitin sa power supply project which serve as voltage reference ng regulator.

Pwede rin, gamitin as analog signal source like single/dual/multiple tone generator.

Pwede rin gamitin as pangkalso sa silyang hindi pantay... (joke)  ;D

pang-control ng proportional pneumatic valve... ;D

high-end sound system and equipment marami uses ang DAC...

pwede ka rin maggenerate ng sample ng kahit anong sound tapos i-playback sa DAC... ;D

something like good quality set of speakers tapos merong unseen slot ng SD Card then built-in yung player... ;D

Bosing pwede yan sa adjustable power supply,

gumamit ako dati nyan sa digital voltmeter as ramp generator kaso wala naman siguro gagawa ng ganun voltmeter na basic logic blocks gagamitin not unless trip trip lang, hehehe
