mga sir/ma'am. panu ba to? etong pc ko 2 ang OS isang vista and windows 7.
bali unang nainstall yung vista next is windows 7.
tpos ni repormat ko yung sa vista wich is drive c.(windows 7 is drive e)
tpos install ko na uli yung vista sa drive c. after successful installation nawala na yung boot up choices.
pano ko kaya yun maibabalik, without reinstalling windows 7 nmn? thanks a lot po in advance.

I think, what you had done in the last which is installing windows vista in drive C automatically over rides any "boot loader path" or boot manager (e.g., bootsect.exe) other than its own.

My recommendation is try to boot from your installer and work with the "Repair" mode and then know how to use the "fdisk" and "fixmbr" .. this is a very crucial task especially if you don't have experience working with it..

Next time, I recommend you to use the "EasyBCD" which is a third-party tool dedicated for "boot-loader management" especially Windows..

tama.. gamit ka na lang ng EasyBCD from neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1.

Meron pang isa Yong VistaBootPro (free version) kaso lang in-upgrade na nila to DualBootPro (license required) because of Win 7 release.

Multibooting requires separate partitions on your computer's hard disk for each operating system. If you're running one operating system, you can't run a program installed on another operating system. You'll need to install programs on each operating system that you want to use them in. You must restart your computer each time you want to switch to a different operating system.
You also need to install the oldest operating system first, which can be frustrating if you want to add an earlier operating system (for example, you're currently running Windows 7, but you want to add Windows Vista or Windows XP).
Warning
Installing an earlier version of Windows after a more recent version is already installed can render your system inoperable. This can happen because earlier versions of Windows do not recognize the startup files used in more recent versions of Windows and can overwrite them.

Isn't it a waste of disk space to have two Windows OS installations. What can you do on Vista that you cannot do on Windows 7 or vice versa? It would make more sense if the other is a different OS. Say linux.

You can also edit boot.ini so that the boot manager looks for the other OS on another partition. But since it is already fixed then congratulations to you.

I agree po parang waste of disk space na pag naka dual boot ang vista at win7. Ok lang pag xp at win7 or vista or linux. If vista at win7 naka dual boot, wala na pong boot.ini. As mentioned above, EasyBCD po would be very useful.
Opinion lang po, hindi po ako expert.

You corrupted your MBR it's pretty common error if you r new to this.
Why not use VMware or VirtualBox? It's easy and no headaches.

kaka reinstall ko lang ng PC. Easy BCD din gamit ko. Win7, vista, ubuntu.
