J# 64-bit Runtime Support Information

To meet customer demand for 64-bit runtime support, we are planning to release an upgrade to the Visual J# redistributable earlier than previously communicated called, Visual J# 2.0 Redistributable Second Edition. This will enable our customers to compile their Visual J# code to run natively on 64-bit versions of Windows and the .NET Framework, including the .NET Framework 2.0, 3.0 and the version that will be released with Visual Studio code-named ?Orcas?. Retirement of J# language and Java Language Conversion Assistant from future versions of Visual Studio

Since customers have told us that the existing J# feature set largely meets their needs and usage of J# is declining, Microsoft is retiring the Visual J# product and Java Language Conversion Assistant tool to better allocate resources for other customer requirements. The J# language and JLCA tool will not be available in future versions of Visual Studio. To preserve existing customer investments in J#, Microsoft will continue to support the J# and JLCA technology that shipped with Visual Studio 2005 through to 2015 as per our product life-cycle strategy. pinakamadaling matutunan, Visual Basic...

kung Windows pili ka na lang sa 2, Visual Basic or Visual C#...mukhang retired na yung J#...

ang target ng Visual Basic, kahit sino pwedeng magprogram, kaya madaling matutunan...

mas gusto ko lang syntax ng C# dahil kahawig ng C...yung looping kasi sa Visual Basic mahaba i-type 'for i as Integer = 10 to 0 step -1'  ;D

mas intuitive pa rin para sa akin ito 'for (i=0 : i-- : i==0)'

pag pinag-aralan mo sila marami ka ring matutunang bagong concept from Object-Oriented Programming...

marami ring author ng libro na ayaw pang tanggapin na VHLL yung mga VHLL ngayon...

pero if ever meron ang gusto nilang kasunod is marami ng Graphical Representation including debugs, etc...

kumbaga pakonti na ng pakonti yung mga codes na kailangan i-type ng programmer...

siguro medyo malapit na rin yun... ;D

Microsoft gumawa ng C#... .Net framework pa rin ang gamit nung iba kahit may sariling compiler...

isa pa rin yun...kung magkakaroon ng derivative, magpapalit kagad sila ng name so as not to confuse developers...

Python nga lang ang language na matututunan mo pero makukuha mo na kaagad lahat ng good points on object-oriented programming...

pag mag-move ka na sa C#, mas ok kung start ka muna sa console programs...

pwede ka mag C# sa Linux using MonoDevelop (meron sa repositories, pwede ka rin mag VB.NET at Boo <- Python-like)...although mas ok siguro kung sa Windows na using Visual C# Express Edition...

eto naman ok na tutorial sa C# pero puro console programs lang...walang GUI...

OT: pag natuto ka ng Python, Ruby, (pwede ring Boo) iisipin mo na sana puro ganung ka-simple ang syntax ng ibang language... ;) maraming schools abroad Python na ang introductory programming language...

Hello guys.. its good that lots of us are also into programming..

From what I observed in the field of R&D (Semiconductor), these are common:

C /C++
Shell scripting -- very important, almost all design centers and telecom companies use this like Globe & Smart.
PERL
PYTHON - Design automation companies use this lalo na sa simulation and I believe NASA also uses python
RUBY - lots of design center use this in their environment like library characterization
Matlab - very important in the world of automation and optimization
SKILL Code - Cadence Design System use this
TCL/TKL - Magma Design Automation use this
Java
SQL

Also, try to check out VHDL, Verilog-A / Verilog-AMS, Agilent VEE

Check them out.. lots of opportunities in these stuffs.. ;D ;D ;D

C# and VB.NET and Java for Software Development...SQL for Database...

Python and Ruby, it's simply simpler to program with them...yun nga lang lately lang ni-release ng Japan ang Ruby to the world kaya marami pang criticisms...

C++, medyo marami nang gustong gawing history ang C++...hehehe...but it still works as a language... ;)

PERL, karamihan ng IC test engineers na nakilala ko nakagamit ng PERL...Yahoo! was programmed in PERL, if I remember correctly...

MATLAB, very useful pero mas gamit ko na ang SciLab, free kasi...

yung Verilog, hmmm, ok pag-aralan yan pero specific ito sa IC design...

Naalala ko first year college first major project Number system conversion. binary,decimal,octal hexa, turbo pascal pa gamit nun dos base.
hirap ako kapag sa binary pero kung babalikatrin yung monitor tama yung output ginawa ko binaliktad ko monitor saka ko pinacheck sa instructor ko, medyo matanda na at malabo na mata Taas ng grade ko ako una nakasolve eh. ;D
