course shift from Computer Science to ECE
« on: March 16, 2010, 04:09:40 PM »
hey people!!
i just wanna hear ur opinion bout dis lil dilemma i have :D
im currently in my 3rd yr in BSCS n im NOT enjoying it anymore :(
poros kc memorize9999x ang cs sa skool na e2, nkaka~!
i tot cs was a good application for mathematical concepts
more on application, less stuffs 2 memoryz
but d focus seems to be not in math but rather in PROJECT MANAGEMENT!
poros memorysa ng mga terms like steps 2 successfully
develop a software @_@

how's ECE for a change?
u think it's worth d shift, considering mg 4th yr na nd graduating na dis new skool year?
poros ba soldering ng circuits ang ece?
o isang subject lng ung may soldering?
i feel so.. ehem.. uninspired na kc d2 sa cs.
at least i hav d board exam 2 look 4ward 2 in ECE :)

sayang naman... what i would suggest is finish CS first then i post grad mo yung ECE... para kung sakaling di mo magustuhan ang ece at least may natapos ka na...

I'm an ECE by profession and I love the course... soldering? nope... ala soldering subject and ece kaya nga kami inaasar ng mga tech students e kc pangit daw kami magsolder... You will just experience soldering pag may project na kailangan isolder...

Math? yes... you'll have a lot of those... algebra, trigo, anal geom, solid geom, diff calculus, integral calculus, diff equation, advance math, eng'g mechanics, strength of materials, thermodynamics, electronics 1,2,3, comms, logic ckts, data comm, enercon, ckts 1,2, and more...
lahat yan may math...

I dont know about your interests kaya di ko masabi na magugustuhan m sya... but what i like about ece is that it is super broad... you can do hardware, software or both...

sayang naman. no offense ha? peace tau. pero i hope you don't expect much thing in your school.
i'm an cs grad too, nothing much i got from college days. i don't even have material back when I'm studying like my own pc, books etc. puro hiram lang. hehehe.. pero ngaun masaya naman ngagamit ko ng maayos pagiging cs graduate ko and enjoying its benefits. i remember i used to self study kc nga wala talgang makuha sa mga prof eh. hehehe. pero masaya naman kc madaming akong alam n dipa alam ng mga classmate ko.

pero kung di mo talga siya like, maybe you should move on na nga.

ECE for a change? Finish your CS degree first, then you decide if you want to work after you graduate or take an ECE degree.
