[Problem] Printer Sharing
« on: April 01, 2010, 02:06:53 AM »
mga sir i have a few question about network sharing.

issue:
(tried in xp platform) printer cannot detect in networking sharing(can't share the printer). pero detected ung both pc na nakanetwork and nakakapag transfer ng file, media, and anything else, just detecting the printer lang ang problem ko.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
chinecked ko na lahat ng possible solution but i still coudn't connect the device.

solutions i tried in both computers:

- power cycled both computer after networking both ends.
- checked the printer settings if sharing is enable. i ENABLED it.
- tried to add exceptions to the firewall.(in both ends)
- tried to turn off the firewall.(in both ends)
- i checked the file, network, printer, media sharing if on. i turned ON.
- double checked if the printer is installed. (INSTALLED naman) and naka primary pa.
- tried to change the network domain name in both end.(from MSNETWORK i change to WORKGROUP)

pero ang pinagtataka ko. in some other computer units kapag ginawan mo ng network ay may lalabas na "My Network Places" as default sa start menu. pero etong unit na to. wala. ask ko lang kung saan ung problem nito?
and is there another way pa ba? and ano pang hindi ko pa nagagawang possible solution?

1. right click start menu then properties
2. customize
3. then advance tab then may start menu items dun
4. lagyan mo ng Check yung My network places
5. then click ok, click apply.. click ok.

' there are many different ways to love..

Eto sir sa client OK na ba?

Siguro nacheck mo na... pero baka lang nakaligtaan mo at hindi pa naiset sa network printer.

Anu po ba ang anti virus mo try to disable first your anti virus kasi most anti virus may firewall narin lalo na ang kaspersky
nrerestrict nya ang mga network activities. at isa pa make sure na ang workgroup nila ay iisa. para ma check mo ang conectivity ng dalawang computer try to ping the ip address of the opposite computer. at isa pa dapat hindi parehas ang computer names nila kasi di mo makikita sa network ang isang computer. pag ok na lahat go to control panel>printer and faxes>right click the printer that you want to be shared>properties>sharing>click the radio button na share this printer>apply>so on .... etc.
