by means of refraction ba o reflection ang rason kung bakit puedeng magpropagate ang light kahit na kurbada ang kable.

Reflection yan pag nasaloob ng fiber-optic medium. But meron ding small amount of refraction between the laser lense and cable sa optical coupling point. Sa fiber optic cables, may limit ang bending radius ng cable.

its a combination of refraction and reflection kaya lng ndi gaano nakikita ung refraction dahil sa shielding ng fiber optic cable kaya mas madaming makikita na mag bounce ung light kaya nman tinatawag un na reflection...

if it is a multi-step FO cable its a combination of refraction and reflection, but reflection is more evident.
if it a mulit-graded FO cable (the fiber optic medium has different refractive indexes - ibigsabihin paibaiba ung refractive index) it is totaly refraction.(pero wala yatang gumaamit ng cable na ganito)

Saan kaya nakakabili ng fiber optic strands.. nakikita ko sya minsan sa mga parol at christmass tree lights so baka mura lang yun.. balak kong gamitin as indoor lighting using fiber optics during daytime.. as in lagay mo lang outside one end of the cable tapos you transfer the light inside with the other end.... meron kasi ko nakitang ganito sa japan..

sa farnell, doon ako bumili nyan nung may ginawa akong color recognition project.
