Ang budget yata....saka malaki ang potential natin sa geothermal at natural gas energy at kapabol na tayong mag explore at mag drill ng mga source nito.

i think the big reason is too much corruption on government projects that would result in a sloppy construction  ;D.. just imagine what would happen if they built a nuclear power plant that encountered a lot of SOP.. the final outcome is not a nuclear power plant but a nuclear bomb that would go kaboom seconds after the ribbon cutting ceremony hehehehehe...

I have visited the plant at sabi nila its 90% done ipanakita pa nga nila ang mga nuke rod (sa video lang of course)...sa nakikita ko, ok naman at safe at kaya nating e operate, pero personally nakapangilabot yong waste talagang death defying the laws of nature....tama na yong sa ibang bansa sobra na talaga!!! Mayaman naman tayo natural source of energy.

And all the local officials in a 1-km radius. Tapos... KABOOM!  ;D

the chernobyl accident sa russia in 1986 was the reason why the aquino administration pulled the plug on the project

cory campaigned for the abolition of the nuke plant during her run to the presidency. and sinunod nya ang pramis nya na alisin ang nuke plant (pati na lahat ng power plants) sa napocor long term project planning. kaya nagkaroon ng 8 hour daily blackouts - walang tinayong baseload plant si cory at aboitiz noong 1986-1992

hindi pa sumasabog ang planta as wala pang incident na pinaandar itoh. the only thing left is to choose either to put this plant up to modern day specs, or to build a new one entirely.

no problem there. just send those nuke wastes to france for reprocessing. then balik ulet sa pinas as FUEL!!!

I believe they are studying how the naturally occurred Oklo, Gabon Nuclear Reactor controlled its Hazardous Waste...para pwede ring apply sa present plants...

sorry ang ibig ko pong sabihin dun sa "sabog" e yong huge damage natin economically don pag-gawa at sa kontrata ($billion) ng nuke natin plus yong damage nito economically ($million) sa ating bansa ng ito ay hindi nag operate, 32 power barges @ 48 million dollars each ($billion), yata ang naging emergency steps to sustain the grid availability, pag tinotal lahat di ba, para naring may sumabog na nuke he he he he ;D ;D    ggrrrrrr ang lupit!!!

If we use Nuclear, we can shut down coal fire plants which emits pollution too and green house effect.

Other advanced countries uses too. we are like living in flintstone age.
