i'm not suggesting iwas ka trabaho...

magandang pace ang kailangan mo; you have to plan everyday on things you would want to accomplish.

kung unreasonable na deadlines, discuss it w/ your supervisor.

i mean sir, lipat sa kapitbahay :D

that's what im doing ever since, reasonable naman yung iba..

well im starting to hate the environment na meron ako ngayon..

(though masaya ako sa ginagawa ko, puro experience nga lang)

well my advice.. to be an effective programmer, one should concentrate "exclusively" on the programming task.. that is.. no "internet" connection and "no" disruption" during productive hours..

this "concentration" gives penalty sometimes..

i was involved one time in an interesting embedded project.. most of the times, while concentrating on the project.. i lose track of time.. i started programming at 8am and then i looked up at the time.. i didn't noticed it's 2:40pm already.. i missed my lunch.. sometimes, i still do programming in the evening (even weekends) carrying my project at home.. i spent this daily routine full concentrating on a very interesting embedded project for the past years..

this was the times where almost my work "pervades" my existence.. my friends we're neglected.. my social life deferred.. it seems that i don't exists after all and..

"programming" consumes my life..

tsk.. tssk..

i still remember.. those "horrible" days.. i was so burned-out.. and so, after i finished this monster "32bit" project programming and compiling 144,000 lines of source code, i quit my job.. although i had a lot of offers local and abroad, i promised to myself not to go back with it again because i know when doing so, i am choosing to lose my "life" for another years.. no more to embedded related projects.. no more to programming.. i don't want even to talk about it..

it is "understandable" for engineers and programmers working on a "very" interesting project.. real engineers and real programmers work for it, they are loyal and committed to their projects.. "not true" engineers avoids it.. leaving the problem in "vain"..

programmers and engineers sometimes don't work because of money.. because they want to impress their bosses.. because of the company..

but..

because of the challenge.. because there is a problem.. and it needs to be solved.. engineers and programmers wants this "eureka" feelings.. that's why sometimes they work extending their basic office hours and even weekends just to solve the problem..

to all programmers, R&D's and embedded engineers.. goodluck to your respective projects..

.. .. .. don't read much books.. use your intuition(s).. real designs and programming requires "imagination" than knowledge..

i've been there.. you are not alone..

... ...

..

.. ... ...

here is my advice..

1. careful and be cautious not to start things..

2. finish on what was started

...

.. ... ... ..

.. ..

tsk.. tssk..

....

..

where's the smoking area..

naligo nga ba talaga? :D

may dala na akong damit at sabon noon kasi alam ko nang magtatagal ako sa office. ;D

sis glutnix, you're on the way na siguro for promotion ;D ;D ;D nararamdaman ko lang ;D ;D ;D

at the end of the day, you still have to produce results but not at the expense of your health.

kung may pinapagawa na wala sa job scope mo then you have to have a 1:1 with your boss.
