What if I do not have radio license can I still join a legit amateur group/s?  8)

Attend ka lang ng RLM siminar to discuss what and how proper use of radio and frequency. Siminar conduct by the NTC.

ei guys plz help me...

I ve tried going to NTC office to inquire about how to get a licence to use a ham radio.

those people are soo stubborn... they ddnt answer my question strait to the point.. and told me come back later because they were still so buzy of some sort..

How can i get a Licence? and what type?what class?  whats d exam? whats d coverage? so i can use a ham radio legaly?.. so i can buy one

and...what license? what class? do u need to operate an FM/AM station?

gud day sir. what purpose po ba ang pag gamit nyo ng radio? kung hobby nyo and explore use the frequency pwede kayo mag member sa amateur radio group. di ko lang gaano alam ang procedure sa amateur kung pano ang license nila. o kung gusto nyo naman kung civic minded individual ka na habang hobby nyo mag radyo ay makakatulong ka sa community by using radio communication, pwede kayo mag member sa mga civic radio organization tulad ng kabalikat.

Ang isang operator na pwedeng mag handle ng AM and FM station ay yung nag aral ng atleast 2 years GRCO. na kinakailangan pasado ng license exam na binigay ng NTC. kinakailangang handle ng first class radio telephone operator.

Spring equinox and its effect on propagation
For all of you living in the Northern Hemisphere today is a great day. Today the Spring Equinox (or Vernal Equinox) is upon us, this is great as it hails goodbye to winter and officially means the start of Spring.

At 11:44 UTC the sun crossed over the Earth’s equator which means longer hours of sunlight for all of us up North! Thanks to the Earth’s tilt 23.4 degree tilt we will now be getting more of the Sun’s rays increasing the temperature (hopefully) and signalling the start of Summer.

The Spring equinox also has a marked effect on propagation. We will now be having longer hours of sunlight. These longer hours mean the sun will be increasing the energy in the ionosphere more than during the winter.

You may have noticed propagation improving over the last few weeks, this is due to the Spring equinox. The Vernal equinox is a particularly good time for HF propagation as on the first day of spring the length of the day and night in both the Northern and Southern hemispheres will be 12 hours each. During both the Spring and the Autumn equinoxes the northern and southern hemispheres both have an even distribution of solar radiation making it the optimum time for DX. As a result of the equinox bands should be more likely to stay open and there should be more reliable propagation paths between the Northern and Southern hemispheres.

Equinoxes are also the time when auroras are most likely to occur (so keep an eye out for Aurora Borealis in the night sky). Caused by solar flares colliding with nitrogen and oxygen atoms in the atmosphere they usually take place in the E and D layers of the atmosphere. Auroras affect both HF and VHF propagation, decreasing the quality of HF signals but opening up interesting possibilities for VHF operators.

For those of you wanting some light entertainment on the subject of auroras and amateur radio you might want to try the 2000 Dennis Quaid film Frequency I’m not sure you’ll be lucky enough to get the kind of propagation found in this film, but at least with Summer now officially on the way propagation might start to improve.

Fingers crossed for some decent solar activity!

1. you need a 2-way radio.
2. determine what band do yo want to operate/use . VHF or UHF or maybe HF.
3. Amateur or Commercial Radio Group?
------> Amateur go to Philippine Amateur Radio Association (PARA)
@Boy Scouts of the Philippines Center
                         181 Natividad Almeda-Lopez Sts, Ermita,
Manila 1000, Philippines (opposite SM Manila)
                     or visit PARA website: para.org.ph

Communication and Medical group or mas maganda kung meron dyan sa
location mo join ka sa kanila)

*pag Amateur Grp. you need to take the NTC License exam PARA will teach you how.
*pac Commercial Grp. usually may NTC commercial Group License na sila, all you need is to attend a seminar conducted by the NTC for your Commercial Grp and register your Radio (dapat commercial radio) and have your radio station license(RSL)

sana naka tulong ito... GOD BLESS

... nice to know na marami rin palang ECE ang mahilig sa 2-way radio... btw, this is the cheapest and fastest compared to other form of communication medyo magastos lang sa simula...and u need to follow regulations...

walang morse code yong class-c.

Hi guys. Buti nadiscover ko tong forum na to. I was really interested in getting an amateur license.

And i was planning to get the Puxing PA-968/PX-D03. Any reviews from you guys kung ok tong unit na to?

TIA.
