Dami kong natutunan from page 40+ maraming salamat sir tony.
ask ko lang po sir. pano malalaman kung hindi kaya ng core yung watts na i-aaply,
+1 para sayo

thanks, my motive in putting up this thread is so that as many of our youth can make this a source of income if they so choose......that is why i limit theory and concentrate on applications....

there is no point is dwelling on things that others have done before, on re-deriving formulas that were invented almost a hundred years ago, they are just as relevant today as they were back then, only materials changed, but the basic principles remain the same....just use the lessons learned and make a lot of transformers...

wala pa akong alam na gumawa nyan......pag nilagyan mo ng thermal paste mas liliit ang core area mo at lalong mag-iinit....

ang mahalaga maitubog mo sa insulating varnish, mas effective ito kaysa sa thermal paste....

sandali lang, pag nawala na yung bubbles, pwede na hanguin, reapeat the process up to 3x, let is drip, collect the varnish drippings para hindi sayang....then hang the traffo under the sun to dry, iwansang mabasa ng ulan....

these are completed traffos ready for painting, just waiting for the sun to come out....

these are pp opt's using AT_Alpha's RM18, 0.35mm core laminates, take note of the color:

these are power traffos for tube amps using deeco irons, they are 0.5mm thick laminates, H50 cores, non goss, also take note of t
he color of the steel:

lastly, another power traffo for tube amp, this time using surplus cores from ROKS, also 0.5mm thick:

i use different turns computations for different types of steels, the best kind of steel you can use as low as 1300turns per square inch of core, for the low quality irons, as high as 1750turns per square inch of core.....in general, the thinner the core laminates, the better, iron losses are lower....

so here we see that using the best quality irons we need less copper and we get more power out of the iron for the same losses...

^yup, ordinary steel is 0.5mm or gage#26, better grade steels are 0.35mm or gage#29....
