Good morning po Sir Tony pa guide naman po about dito sa
transformer na nakita ko sa junkshop,
bale ang size po nya
1inch center leg stacked by 2 inches
gusto ko po sya lagyan ng
 220volts primary
 35-0-35 secondary

1in. cl x 2in. stack, VA = (2 x 5.58)^2 = 124 volt-amperes, at 230v primary, Ip = 124/230 = 0.54A

Np = 1750/2 = 875 turns, #29

turns per volt = 875/230 = 3.8

secondary 35-0-35v, 35 x 3.8 = 134turns, so 2 bifillar coils of 134 turns each, #23 magnet wire....

bobbins are available for a 1 x 2 inch core

e sir tony transformer computation po para s auto type transformer n 5kva? size & # of wires needed, thickness & size of center leg.

secondary current at 5kva = 5000/110 = 45.45 amps.....

core size = sqrt(5000)/5.58 = 12.67 square inches, there are many combinations that can fit this, say you have a 2 inch center leg core, so that you need 6.5 inches stack of this core,

but since auto-transformer types are smaller by about 70% then you need about 8.87 or 4.5 inches stack...
nothing stops you from using bigger cores, economy is the prime consideration here....

total turns = 1750/8.87 = 197turns, tap at 98th turn for the 110 volts....

wire size, primary can use a #8, then from 99th turn onward, #6 wire....

you have a 1 x 3 inch window so you can check if your wires can fit the window.....this one i leave up to you....

if you calculate that there is not enough space you can use #7 instead of #6......

i received two requests from diyaudio for a power transformer this will be used to power Kanwar's tripple darlington power amp....

1.
Quote

Primary turns
Secondary turns
Primary wire size
Secondary wire size

Kung meron po kayong link na para mapag-aralan pano gumawa will be grateful po.

requested capacity is 3500va, to determine core area so that we can find out core stack:

core size A =  sqrt(3500)/5.58 = 10.6 square inches,
using and EI-200 with a 2inch center leg, we need to stack 5 inches.....

primary turns at 230volts = 1750/10.6 = 175 turns, #14 magnet wire
secondary turns = (175/230)/200 = 152 turns total,
since there will be 4 secondary coils of 50volts each, each of the 4 coils will have 38 turns each, #12 wire

the 4 secondary coils can be wound in two bifillar groups, the inner group will be your 50-0-50 while the outer groups will be wired in series with the  50-0-50 to form your 100-50-0-50-100....
