ok din gawa ng sariling traffo, at least pang experience, though mas mahal nga kesa sa bibili ng traffo na gawa na :)
with great power comes great electricity bill

i am building traffos for a 6C33 set tube amp that is capable of about 10watts into 8ohm loads....

SET tube amps demand a lot of power for a measly power output, here i am making a traffo of about 390watts

i use bobbin for 1.6 inch and 2 3/8 inch stack:

filament winding terminations:

built-up traffo:

bamboo pegs at the 4 mounting holes, this lets the varnish go in between laminates.
here the traffo is hung out to dry for a day or so....

these are the output traffos, core is 1.5 x 2 inches, impedance ratio is 600:6 ohms....

building a pair side by side, one section by one section at a time until the whole buld is completed..

dipping in varnish:

hung out to dry after dipping in varnish....

Nice build sir +1...

ask lang kita....I want a 50-60w Push pull OPT with 6k:8 ohms impedance, what is the right wire size, turns for primary and secondary and the core size (centerleg x stack thickness...)?
Pag gusto maraming paraan, pag ayaw maraming dahilan!!!!...

sir tony eto inquiry ko!

eto yung mga nabili ko, eto lang yung available as of now :)

EI Core= 1 3/4  , 5 kilos
Mylar
Fish Paper
Cotton Tape

1. Ano pa yung ibang parts na kulang ko? excluding magnetic wire and bobbin.

2. Sa tatlong eto ano yung pinaka mainam ipapagitan ko sa rewind coils?

Mylar
Fish Paper
Cotton Tape

3. Target secondary voltage is 50vAC-0-50vAC
Ano yung possible na wattage na pwede ko maattain sa 1 3/4 core? gusto ko imaximize  para sulit :)

4. (Answer in question 3)What should be the wire gauge in primary and secondary and how hany turns?

Thanks master T :)

eto try ko solve yung question 3
1 3/4 x 3. stack, VA = (5.25 x 5.58)^2 = 858 volt-amperes
at 230v primary, Ip = 858/230 = 3.73 ampere

Np = 1750/2 = 333 turns, #19

turns per volt = 333/230 = 1.45
Secondary=50x1.45=72turns bifilar #15
tama ba master T?

ano kayo estimated magnetic wire kilo #19 in primary and kilo in #15 secondary?

TIA :)

correction pala
Np = 1750/5.25 = 333 turns, mas better ba sir tony if gauge #18? no big deal naman siguro VS #19?
