eto try ko solve yung question 3
1 3/4 x 3. stack, VA = (5.25 x 5.58)^2 = 858 volt-amperes
at 230v primary, Ip = 858/230 = 3.73 ampere

Np = 1750/2 = 333 turns, #19

turns per volt = 333/230 = 1.45
Secondary=50x1.45=72turns bifilar #15
tama ba master T?

ano kayo estimated magnetic wire kilo #19 in primary and kilo in #15 secondary?

TIA :)

5kg of 1 3/4 inch core stacks to about 2 inches, so you have a core area of 1.75 x 2 = 3.5 sq, inches, good for about 380watts.....

since you have a bigger window, you can use bigger wire size than you would for cores with smaller windows...

primary turns = 1750/3.5 = 500 turns, you can use #21
secondary turns =500(100/230) = 218 turns, so 2 coils of 109 turns each #17

kung 3 inches ang stack mo then you get more power....

you can use for purposes of estimating wire weight a mean length per turn = (1.75 + 3 +1.5)*2 = 12.5 inches

you length of primary then = 333 x 12.5 = 4162.5 or 347ft.....
from wire table, #19 has a weight factor of 256.5feet/lbs, so that the primary coil weight = 1.3lbs or 0.6kgs

the secondary coils with #15 has 104ft/lb so that you can estimate it yourself...

given the mean length= 12.5inches per turn

so for secondary total turns = 72 X 2= 144 turns

secondary total mean length = 12.5 X 144= 1800inches or 150ft

secondary total weight = 150ft/104ft/lb= 1.4lb or 0.64 kilograms

for standard or safe buy eto ang possible kilos

primary= 3/4 kilos-
secondary= 3/4 kilos

total= 1 1/2kilos of magnet wire

Master T, I like your idea na gusto mong ipukol sa aming mga newbies , even others that lack of knowledge and experience about this matter

a very good known  saying

“Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime"

your a good inspiration to us  ;)

+1 :)

thanks, when we estimate the copper, it is better that we overestimate, para maiwasan ang magdugtong sa kalagitnaan....or kaunting ikot na lang e naubusan pa ng wire...

Gusto ko din matuto mag DIY ng trafo.
katatapos mag back read from page 1

Voltage = no of turns
Amp = Wire Size.

paano kayo mag ccome up sa size ng Bobbins
example for seccondary na 12-0-12 5Amps

there is a transformer calculator which you can download from some sticky topic on this forum. try to download and input some sample requirement like what you need. from there you can ask questions herein or on that thread.
we will be glad to help you out don't worry, just make the first step and be sure to be detailed on your questions.

for starters the core area will require cross sectional area in cm2. you should know how to convert from inches to cm as core sizes available here are given in inches..

TIA sir...

a single bay bobbin can be converted into dual bay by placing some separator at the middle. just cut out a separator from a red fiber board (available at many transformer shops). before winding just place a make shift temporary spacer at one section in order for the first winding not to collapse and spoil your work. after winding the first section you can remove the spacer and proceed with the secondaries.

ito sir...
center leg = 7/8
stack to = 1 3/8
