Visual Studio C# data entry to SQL database

Hi, I'm currently having a problem with my program because I can't get the data to be saved at my SQL Server database. The data from my form is only saving at the dataset and not the database. I need help. pls. And by any chance, does anyone know how to create a search function? Please please help me. I'm stuck right now. Thanks!

what kind of searching you like? looping search or database search, FIFO,FCFS atbp? searching in sql server database same as ms access the only different is declaration on database connection

Regarding the search function, I will be making a windows form using C# that will search the database for any match and if a match exists, that record will appear in C#. I plan on using a combobox with its items based on some of the columns of the database. A user selects from the combobox and then enters text in a textbox. The text entered will be then searched in the specified column in the combobox.
