Q: Installing Car Amplifier.. help??

mga master.. may konting katunungan lang po ako bout sa paginstall ng car amp.

Ung B+ ba ng isang amp.. nakdirect nb un sa battery? or kailangan pang padaanin sa ignition switch or sa accesories?

advice nman po ng block diagram? ganito po kase ang ginwa ko (battery - fuse - +12 amp) indi lang po kase ako sure eh..

chief ok lang i-direct sa battery para magamit mo kahit naka-off ang ignition, problema lang pag naiwan mo matagal baka madrain ung battery...

gusto mo sir lagay ka na lang po ng separate switch para sa amp.mo

most car power amp i  know of are meant to be connected directly to the battery (via suitable fuse). They have "remote" input that disables the power supply section when the head unit is off, thus bringing down the power consumption to negligible levels when not in use. This remote input accepts 12V input (at least for pioneer and alpine power amps) which you could supply via your head units power antenna trigger, via ignition switch or you could install a power amp activate switch.

tnx for the replies.. natapos ko na install ung amp. after kong mabasa mga advices nyo mga master.. pogi points sa inyong lahat.. kaso nung itest ko na parang may naririnig akong unwanted sound galing amp mismo habang naka-idle ang kotse..  sa una akala ko normal lang un.. pero ng magroadtest ako.. habang tumataas ang speed ko lalo rin nman lumalakas ung sound na nanggagaling sa amp.

naobserve ko ito ng subukan kong patayin ang unit while driving.. nawala ung sound..

ito nga pala ung model amp. MRV-F3502 X12 @ channel Car aido power amplifier 1200W..

yung sound na yun ser malamang sa ground loop yun.. ideally dapat single point ang grounding ng amp at tsaka head unit.. can you verify if the noise is present or not with the following conditions?
1) power amp on, head unit at minimum volume.
2) power amp on, head unit off (you might need no override the remote input of the amp to force it on)
3) power amp on, inputs disconnected from head unit
4) power amp on, inputs terminated (shorted or terminated with resistor)
btw, what brand is your head unit?

chief that unwanted sound is coming from your ignition, as you can observe, the frequency will always match the rpm of the engine...

me nabibili interference filter para dyan, try mo sa elecronics store or sa auto supply, not sure kung ano tawag dyan pero i'm certain alam nila yan...

indeed, that could be one probable source.. the ignition system interference is characterized by popping,buzzing or parang nagpriprito na sound.  pero kung yung sound ay parang "siren" o parang hinihika (whining sound) that also changes with the engine's rpm, then most probably sa alternator ito caused by ground loops. alternator whining may also solved by filters but not entirely. proper grounding and use of high quality audio cables will help a lot.

I also agree with this. Jensen isolation transformers are recommended if this is the case.

mga master cnxa na ngaun lang nakaupdate.. medyo busy kase eh.. subukan ko na lang gawin lahat ng mga advices nyo.. tpos update ko kayo ulet.. ito pala model ng unit ko.. Pioneer DEH-2150UBG.. cguro gawin ko muna step by step lahat.. medyo iba-iba kase mga advices.. update ko kayo kung saan uubra.. tncx pogi points sa inyong lahat

nung nagkabit ako ng discman dati, sa grounding din ang problema ko at nagkakaroon din ng alternator whining... badtrip yan, pero naayos din naman heheheh
