Diesel Electric a.ka. Hybrid
« on: April 06, 2008, 12:34:39 AM »

Toyota Prius is one of the most popular...

Honda Insight also became popular...

typical gas mileage nila 60mpg to 80mpg...

kung short term car mo siya, ok savings sa gas...pero kung long term like 10 to 20 years...mahal magpalit ng battery...

pero, malaki ang reduction nila sa emissions...

I would still prefer oil base fuels, I use "Exhaust Gas Oxidizer" ng sariling inventor natin Adolfo Allegre at international patented na niya, my yeary emmission is very minimal 0.3 lang at 20% saving sa gas.

I really dont get it, bakit hindi ito nag klic....

I prefer Electric Car kasi zero emission (of course, no pollution).  Sa ngayon, ipa-plug mo lang sa wall outlet mo para i-charge ung battery but in the future makakagawa na rin ng self-charge (thru solar cell, etc).  Wala na ring oil change at oil leak.

I'm looking at the present, i think there are millions of cars....and come to think about this, if all this cars will be using electric with a rechargable batteries lets say Li-On, and it takes lots of Li-On rechargable batteries (usually occupies all floorings of the car) to run a single or double seater car. And Li-On only last for maybe 3 yrs. So we will be dumping TONS of Lithium i think everyday if all the world use it.

It's the waste actually, that discourages me when i design a motocross scooter. I have made one and test it for friend commercial use, its really fun, jumping and flying and acrobats..... but my maong pants is always destroyed by the acid coming from the Lead Acid battery. Thats when realize that battery is not good its toxic.

u should use gel-acid battery instead of lead-acid...

with lead-acid batteries, yes, it'll occupy a lot of space on the flooring but not with the Li-Ion or Li-Polymer batteries.  the only problem with the Lithium based batteries is the price.

true, if lots of people are using Lithium based batteries for their car, we'll be dumping tons of it after 3 yrs or so, but technology changes from time to time.  so maybe in a few years they would come up with a biodegradable batteries that won't affect our nature or maybe car that don't need to be charge at all... :)
