220v AC to 12v DC
« on: July 27, 2010, 11:04:32 PM »
hey anyone who has an idea how to construct a 220VAC to 12VDC  converter?

i was thinking to run my car audio system to my house instead. it needs to be high power to support the 3600watts amplifier.

any ideas please?thanks!

Renzo, hook up an ammeter sa car battery mo and play the radio. Malaman mo ang current draw. based on that, gawa ka ng PS. may circuit ka dn sa isang thread for 6 amps. Kung 20 amps yan, apat na bypass transistor ang kailangan. Mahal ang 20A transformer ah! I have one here pero di bumaba sa P2k transformer lang. You can use the 12Amp sa deeco, dalawa kung 20 a and kailangan.

An alternative is to use a car battery na may auto charger like the one featured by Alexan. mayroon pa ako dito. Iwanan mo nakakabit. Call me or text me if you cannot find the kit anymore. 4 Amp charger lang ito pero auto off. The idea is that we will replenish spent power slowly over time.Di ka naman mag play yan 24/7, di ba?

another way is to use two or even 3 computer PS. Depende nga sa current need. Yung mataasang current sa 12V, brand new nasa P700 each. 3 will be P2100. Reasonable pa yun. may kaming kinoconect ng load sa 5V output to activate the regulation.

Text me if you need help.  Kuya Bong 0922 281 0680

kung 300 amps, kahit yung N50 na car batt will quickly drain. 50 amp/Hr yun and if the draw were 300, that is 6 times and the duration will be 60 mins/6 or 10 minutes. Game Over. Waaaaa
