yun nga yung suggestion ko, i-rotate mo ng 90 degrees yung mga matrices.. total 8x8 naman yan at symmetrical.. so magiging negative na yung rows mo, and you could then use the uln2803.

Code: [Select]
ASCII_Table  ;perform read from long table
movlw High(Table)
addwf offsetH, W
movwf PCLATH
movlw Low(Table)
addwf offsetL, w
btfsc   STATUS    , C
incf PCLATH, f
MOVWF   PCL

anong code ito? pic assembly?  di kasi ako familiar sa PIC assembly, pero ang "hunch" ko ay yung High at Low ay merong kinalaman higher or more significant half, tapos yung low ay yung lower half. kung 32 bits yung laman ng table, yung high is bit 31-16 tapos yung low ay bit 15-0.
this is just a hunch.. try asking the masters for help on this one.

TIA sir..

Im not sure kung maganda pa din ang visibility ng green during daytime esp. outdoor... pero kung indoor naman ang application ng project i'll go for green food for the eye... :)

yes... its possible to simulate in proteus with visual basic... I've seen a video tutorial doing it... I just forgot where it was... try to check youtube (not youporn ok?  ;D ;D ;D

i go for green din.. pero ok na rin yung red pag ultra bright.. ok din naman siguro yung green sa outdoor basta may filter din na green. kasi yung red, pag outdoor application nilalagyan din ng filter na red. now you might want to reconsider using positive on the rows and negative on the columns. kasi for more brightness you need more current, di kakayanin ng 74ls/hc595 ang current. so swak na swak yung uln2803 as current boosters sa columns. tapos discrete transistors na lang sa rows.  mas magandang sa rows na yung discrete kasi walo lang ito kaysa sa napakaraming columns ang lalagyan mo ng discrete drivers.

with regards to eeprom, pwede na yung 24c64 8kx8bits sya (so 8kbyte) listed yan sa alexan. or yung 24LC32 4kx8bits listed sa newport at PhP45.00. datasheet here http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resources/prod_documents/doc0336.pdf nandyan na rin yung info sa pagread/write/erase..

indoor nga po application ng project nato.. i guess i'll go for green also.

i'll try to check it sir sa youporn..este youtube pala.. ;D

i'll use anode rows and cathode columns sir with ULN2803 & 74HC595 as column drivers and BC337 & HC4017 as row drivers. tanong lang sir, kelangan ko pa bo ng resistors between ULN2803 & 74HC595 tsaka between BC337 & HC4017? o pwede ng wala?

filter, basically a colored piece of plastic or glass. the simplest form of filter that is widely seen is the colored "plastic" wrapper of yema or sampaloc. The same used in the "skin" of christmas lanterns. Though these are too flimsy for your application, you can use maybe colored acrylic/flexiglass panels (usually ginagamit sa sliding windows ng PUJs). Or you can use colored "gels", the one used for coloring PAR64 fixtures. Gels are available at the disco/stage light stores in raon area. The filter will provide extra contrast for your LEDs and will also conceal the parts from view. to illustrate the point i will borrow some images from http://www.electronicslab.ph/forum/index.php/topic,8863.480.html

with filter

without filter

your filter must have the same color as your LED.

no need for resistor between 595 and uln2803. but you must mave current limiting resistors  between uln2803 and the columns. as 4017 and bc337, if bc337 is used in emitter follower config, then there is no need for resistor.

pareho lang yan. di mo na kailangan ng programmer para dyan, just program your PIC to program to and read from the eeprom.  you can refer to the datasheet for the programming/reading/erasing of the eeprom.
