SERIAL TO USB COMMUNICATION??? globe tattoo!

my goal:

i want to integrate/connect the GLOBE TATTOO to my slimboard/microcontroller/ARDUINO.

since a GSM module is worth around 4k in e-gizmo. it is cheaper use the TATTOO as my gsm module! worht 875 lang!! oh!


PROBLEM.

i can communicate with other peripheral devices/modules thru serial communaction.

WHAT IF I HAVE A SERIAL TO USB CONVERTER like the one we use in uploading our program tp the slimboard
THEN lagyan ko ng converter to FEMALE para masaksak ko ung globe tattoo?

~~~THE BIG QUESTION!?!?
PEDE KO NA KAYANG MAKAUSAP UNG DEVICE THRU SERIAL CONNECTION, AND CONTROL IT WITH AT COMMANDS, SERIALLY??????????

These may not help you but i think mas madali pag cellphone nalang gamitin mo as your GSM modem. Like the one Sir alyas created, http://www.electronicslab.ph/forum/index.php?topic=22028.msg367080#msg367080. Tested and proven na po namin. Thanks to sir ALYAS!! ;)

Nope. You'll need a USB host for that. Better follow the above suggestions.

OT:
Yah fully working na po yan. And sa tingin ko successful po yung pag port ko para sa 16f887 na ang gamit. Ang galing ni sir alyas at nakapa helpful pa. Binunyag nya codes nya. Sarap talaga dito sa forum na to maraming helpful. Unfortunately meron ako na pansin isang member, magbigay lang ng kontig pasilip sa project/codes nya then if mag ask ka ng paliwanag, bigyan ka na ng celphone number, business proposition na ba yun? Ahehe sori po. Peace!

alam ko merong pictures ng binaklas na Smart Bro Plug It si sir alyas. 'yung UART implementation niyan parang 'yung sa USB to UART kaya sa controller lang talaga merong UART.
