use hot-air mild heat lang for transferring the flash ic's...

@macky

it's not the disk that counts but the content....

basta wala ng transaction between Host and Device, ok lang na hugutin. sinisigurado lang nung safely remove na wala nang transaction. kahit sa site ng MS nabanggit nila 'to dati.

it may not damage the usb drive, pero mawawala yung data. Remember, just 1 corrupt byte is enough to render the whole data unreadable. There is no room for error when storing relevant data, kaya the OS would really prompt you to perform safe removal.

oo bad talaga yun, pwedeng ma-corrupt yung mga mp3 files sa mp3 player mo, saka masama rin yung saksak lang nang saksak at magopen ng flash drive without viewing hidden files using dir /ah sa CMD. kaya kumakalat yung .vbs script na virus ;D

according sa Top 7 Tech Myths:

4.) Always ’stop’ a USB device before unplugging - This applies only in a few cases. This is said to ensure that the USB device is not unplugged while data is being read from or written to it

. Doing so would corrupt the file being transferred or maybe damage the USB drive. However, when the USB is in the idle mode it can be unplugged without going through the entire process of ‘Safely Remove hardware’.

basta lang naman huwag kakalasin ng merong transfer. practically, mas prone to corrupt data kapag inalis habang may write to USB disk process.

after enumeration, idle naman yung disk hanngang walang request.
