sir, pwede po ba machange ung commport number during runtime? i have used a message box as input in mscomm1.commport.

With MSComm1
        If .PortOpen Then .PortOpen = False
           .CommPort = txtcomport
           .Settings = "9600,N,8,1"
           .DTREnable = True
           .RTSEnable = True
           .RThreshold = 1
           .SThreshold = 0
           .PortOpen = True
  End With

but i always get an invalid port number error. where infact the number i inputted in the textbox is the com number found in device manager-> modems-> huawei->properties-> modem->port, in my case com9. when i manually wirte 9 in mscomm1.commport=9 and change the comport in properties window of vb6, it is works.

i'm thinking maybe the input number of comport in the code should coincide with the comport in the properties window. if this is the case then i won't be able to change it during runtime... or iam missing something crucial here... please guide po.... tnx for the future replies...

^ perhaps you really are missing something crucial. the textbox input is most probably a string, the CommPort property most probably requires an integer. ;)

^^^ Yan din ang plano ko sa ibang project ko na gawin nalang sa ibang form ang mga port settings.
You can change the comport at run time. But rule of thumb na pag hindi muna gagamitin ang port, i-close dapat tsaka na gagamit ng iba.

Be careful sa donate button, mag share-a-load yan sa number ko. ;D ;D
Pwedi din yan ilagay sa form_load, assuming naka connect na sa modem ang program. Then auto eraze mo lang ang confirmation sa share-a-load, detect mo ang 4438 na sender's number. Then bigay mo sa mga friends mo. ;D

kung gusto mo.. bago magdelete isesend sa email you yung logs via email.. Pano mu gagawin toh?

kunin mu smtp server and port number ng mail(yahoo,gmail, etc.)  .. ung outgoing ha..

I've tried using C# and successfully send/receive using Tattoo and SmartBro usb modem.
