As the acronym suggest, Closed Circuit TV which means it is wired ...at least it was originally wired but nowadays due to the popularity of home/business security monitoring, cctv is a term more associated to security camera systems both wired or wireless.

may wired at may wireless. may mga camera na built-in na yung transmitter at meron namang separate ang transmitter (ikanakabit ito kung meron ng existing na camera). dati sa VHS tape pa yung recording pero ngayon meron ng DVR (hard disk na ang ginagamit).

there are three components of cctv system. una ung cctv camera/s. then next is the dvr. then next is monitor.

sa pinangalingan kong company hindi pareho.,gumagamit ng coaxial cable at ung isa nmn cat-5 cable na may signal balloon sa magkabilang dulo,papuntang camera at s DVR.

The typical setup for Large or Wide Area Analog Wired CCTV, is something like this=)

Cameras----[Coaxial Cable]----Video Amplifier ----[CAT5e] ---------------------------------------------------Video Amplfier ---------[Coaxial Cable] ---- DVR

pede ring standalone IP camera, just see kung support nito ang flash storage like SD Card
