windows XP, maganda sa Linux yung firewall.. less daw pasukin ng Virus pag Linux... medyo safe PC mo pag Linux daw

naka vista ko ngayun..
di ko na xa mapalitan..nanghihinayang kasi ako sa license nya, kaya "make the most out of your vista" ang drama ko..
ok naman xa... pag nasanay ka ok na...kadalasan di pa umeepek mga virus.

nakaklungkot nga dahil di man lang ginagawan ng paraan ng Microsoft na idebug ang vista,,

pero as a vista user..ok naman xa ,,
you have to be patient nga lang ..

medyo magulo mga news coming from Microsoft. they are already planning to keep Windows XP for low end systems as Vista, admittedly, needs a more powerful machine (from Yahoo! News). from what I remember it will be Vista that is soon to retire.

hello po mga pare... as what mentioned above vista needs high specs so mabagal talaga ang booting pero marami syang dinadala and really needs a lot of space in your hard drive...today a lot of computer here in japan is pre installed w/ vista and its support but when i got my laptop i reinstalled it w/ xp3 in 2 days and had a hard time to finished it,emagine my softare na sa mga new hard drives ngayon na di ma detect sa windos xp kc wlang software.so what i did is get the software and before formating the HD i used usb floppy to insert the HD software then boot the XP after it was successful my biggest prob was the XP DRIVERS for my laptop model because it has no support for XP, but i managed to get it through research but takes a week...i really recomend windows xp because it is stable and reliable OS but sooner or later vista will be...like windows xp it takes 5 years to be stable and reliable... by the way for those people enjoying non genuine OS i recomend egyptian HAK it is a windows xp3 OS but vista formatted equipped w/ the bundles of vista os..hehehe

Di xa gaanong gumagamit ng RAM para sa graphics di gaya ng VISTA grabe ang memory consumption.

Linux UBUNTU
Hm... di xa gaanong infected sa mga virus di gaya ng Windows.

beginner ako pagdating sa linux although nakagamit ako ng RHL 6.0 noon nung hindi pa xa tanggap ng public.

Napuna ko lang sa kubuntu dapper 6.06 eh malimit magcrash applications ko which is very disappointing sa beginner then I tried kubuntu hardy 8.10, with it mas naenjoy ko ang linux.

One problem I encountered eh pag naginstall ka ng package eh ang dami nya hinahanap na file support. So kung wala akong internet sa bahay eh aabot ako ng week bago makapaginstall ng package,

Regarding wine, hindi ako makapagintall ng mplab buti na lang may piklab na sobrang enjoy ko, may eagle din sa linux.

Isa pa pala problema ko eh paano maguninstall, well siguro malalaman ko yun in the future habang nadadagdagan knowledge ko,hehhe

experience ko sa pagboot almost the same lang xp at kubuntu, mejo mabagal nga pala graphics ko especially pag nagiinstall ako as compared sa xp.

kung saan nag-instal, dun din nag-uninstall.

medyo problematic nga yung mga lumang KDE packages (Kubuntu). as far as I remember, mas matakaw kasi sila sa resources than their Gnome counterpart. ayaw ko na rin ng latest KDE, nagmukha ng hawig sa Vista. mas gusto ko yung 3.

yung Ubuntu kasi hindi nila nilagay yung packages sa isang DVD kaya kailangan may internet connection.

so far, enjoy naman ako sa paggamit ng Ubuntu.

mga bro...i tried ubuntu linux gnome not the kde, ang ganda ang bilis @ ang media apps nya ganda ng graphics @ hgit sa lahat ala u prob sa viruses.....un nga need net conexion pra madownlud mo mga packages apps...try nyo....

Windows XP
- eto ang OS ko sa ngayon. it is not perfect, pero sa tingin ko the best so far ng microsoft etong XP.
- almost lahat ng programs ko para sa windows xp.

Ubuntu Linux
- ok lang sa for browsing and Python programming(kasama na kasi hehe)

Windows Vista
- nag install ako ng Matlab v6, ayaw gumana. may issue sa FlexLM
- nag install ako ng Visual C# 2008 Express Edition SP1, ayaw tumuloy
- tinanggal ko na, bumalik ako sa XP.

Ang rule kasi sa mga windows operating systems.. antayin u muna mag 2 years bago mag-upgrade ng OS.. as much as possible.. wait muna ung Service Pack 2 or 3..

na-release ung vista noong 2007.. pero hanggang ngayon an dami pa ring mga incompatibilities, warnings at errors.. yet, 2009 na.. eh, ano pa kaya itong Windows 7.. mas lalo na siguro..

dati ni-release ung Windows 98.. and then may flaw ung OS.. kaya ni-release ung second edition ng Windows 98.. and then sumunod ung third edition ng Windows 98 which is the Windows ME (Millenium)
kaso an daming issue sa OS na ito ( both from users to high-end potential customers from small to large scale) kaya tinigil na ang support dito nung 2003 at nag-focus sila sa mga NT series based products nila which is from its "ancient and old homo-predecessor" ---> Windows NT

..continuing spreading its 'genes' up to Win2K to WinXP to Vista (Long-Horn) to Windows Server..

ginagawa nila tayong taga-test nang mga products nila.. at pag may problema..

"click u lang ung send error to microsoft" tapos aantayin nang mga ilang weeks or ilang buwan bago ma-resolve ung problema ng mga programmers ng microsoft..

kahit ung Google Chrome.. tinanggal na nila ung Beta nila sa Internet Browsing Tool nila.. pero an dami pa ring mga known problems and issues..

kahit sa mga Linux OS.. pag may release na 11.0 dun muna kau sa 10.3 then wait for 6mos before upgrading to 11.0.. at that time may 11.5 na cguro..

so my suggestion.. lag at least one version.. dun muna kayo sa stable.. at siguradong na test na..

ung "sing tibay bato at sin-tatag ng blokeng semento" ika nga'

nung nga na-release ung XP dati 2k pa rin ang gamit ko.. wala pang SP2 noon.. inantay ko muna ung mga SP's ng microsoft bago ako nag-upgrade..

and so during those times ndi me "uninstall - re-install scheme.."

minsan kasi nakaka-inis din ung panay ang back-up, panay ang re-install at panay ang re-format.. nakakasira ng productivity at nakaka-asar din minsan mag-antay habang nag-iinstall ng fresh copy ng OS..

alam niyo naman pag bagong release ang software.. marami pang mga bugs na ndi pa na-didiscover.. at ang madalas na nakaka-discover ay..

naubos ang isang araw ko kahapon dahil sa windows vista hehehe... pinilit kong magustuhan... at the end of the day, wala rin.. di ko pa tuloy natapos yung dapat kong gawin.. sa vista ko pa naman sana balak gawin yung mga dapat kong gawin sa matlab hayyy
