di ba ang vista mabagal in comparison sa XP... ang di ko maintindihan, bakit gustong gusto ng tao ang vista samantalang panay ang upgrade ng hardware para mabilis? bakit di nalang mag-upgrade ng hardware tapos xp nalang? assuming you have both license, XP AND VISTA, and assuming capable din ang machine mo for vista, and given na mas mabilis ang xp, alin ang pipiliin mo? samantala, maari mo ding gawin ang mga gawain sa XP...

IMHO

depende...bakit gusto... the same way we liked XP though we have MS win98

OS's performance always depends on hardware resources.. truth?

Bottom line... if we can afford it... then upgrade... if not... obvious?

For programmers... it is always important to keep up... compatibility issue

4 words are constant my dear friend..

"change" "business" "innovation" and "endless states of non-satisfaction"

Microsoft should constantly evolved, should constantly change, should constantly innovate to do business and to maintain being a "top of the line" in our eyes..

it's always been business that speaks..

in behalf of the machines my dear friend.. that is a challenge for us engineers.. bill gates knows the instincts of programmers and engineers (both in hardware and software)

" we always want to solve problems "

and for us again as humans..

" We are never satisfied.. and we will never be.. "

Man creates problem.. Man answers the problem.. and from that answer it will posed again another problem..

Vista is a mere product of "constant research" by Microsoft.. and another which will be intended to release in the near future ( Windows 7 ) will probably deliver us another head-ache for our existing hardware..

Yet, I believe that the performance of XP is quite satisfactory for our present state.. yet, pag may bago ang microsoft.. gusto nating i-try..

" kasi sabi daw ng mga kaibigan ko ay maganda raw.. "

alam mo naman tayong mga techies.. talagang sinusubukan ngang talaga natin kung maganda nga..

at gusto rin nating ma-experience at ndi rin tayo pahuhuli kung ano ang mga bago siyempre..

and then pag-ininstall an dami namang problema.. ( stated under normal condition.. )

I believe without constant research.. life is not worth living.. life is meaningless.. and what we enjoyed right now is a full-pledge product of research from the past..

and right now..

we are the past.. so that in the near future.. what will they enjoy is a mere product of research that we're doing right now..

..we have to move forward my dear friend..

vista, genuined kasi ang dvd installer ko ng vista e, lilipas din ang compatibility issues sa vista at later on ok na xa at magkkaroon n ng windows 7 which is better than vista.

Microsoft Operating System - Expensive

Windows XP - Fast but OLD, much less secured "lots of security holes" and stupid... I used to love XP but now Vista is my game and also saving money for the coming of Windows 7...

Windows Vista - A much better OS, very secure and much more easier and convenient to use than XP, just make sure to upgrade or buy a new, fast computer, and you wont have problems with the speed. Just make sure to install updates...

Most of the people that are complaining so much about hardware compatibility issues on Vista are those who are using PIRATED versions...
Buy a genuine version and you wont have a problem with updates and security... or if you dont have the money, just make sure your smart enough and HACK it...hehehehehehehe otherwise, stick to XP

Linux Operating System - Less Expensive

UBUNTU - Fast, very Secure, and also very easy to use and easy to update. An upgrade or buying a new and fast computer is just an option...

xp din gamit ko ^^ di ko pa ntry mag vista...

linux okay din.. i used it for my programming subjects.. linux based kxe kame...

I can't think of any subject in which windows is better over linux except gaming. So, if you are a person who thinks of gaming as the most significant use of your PC then go for windows. But if you really are a computer enthusiast who doesn't think of anything but gaming, linux must be the choice.

There is wine on linux that would somehow let you run windows based applications on it. Is there such an application on Windows that would let you run linux based programs on it? If there is none, then why would windows be better than linux?

actually meron, partly... parang counterpart ng Wine in linux. It's called Cygwin.

Medyo mahirap to choose kung Vista lang or linux lang.
For me ang setup ko is Dual boot (Vista/Ubuntu). Then on both, I installed Virtualbox so I can run any virtual machine on vista or ubuntu depends.

I like the dual boot kasi I can run native apps without using virtual box if I want.

Even my firefox setup is shared between my Vista and Ubuntu, as in my profile/plugins..etc is shared between those 2 OS so I can go into vista, install a plugin and when I choose to boot up in Ubuntu, the plugin is already there.

Hmm I keep two systems always. 1 xp and 1 linux.

Linux ubuntu or linux is the best specially para sa mga manyakis hehehe. Hindi nagana mga viruses. Browse all day kahit saan. Pasok labas ng USB anytime anywhere. Hehehe

Windows XP - maganda lang ang XP pag gaming
Windows Vista - astig kasi yung mga style
Windows 7 - kung sa akin lang parang hinalo ang Vista at XP, pero ito choice ko kasi mas mabilis na to kaysa XP
Ubuntu - di pa ako nakahawak ng ubuntu
