hello po mga masters at iba pa pong pwedeng makapagbigay ng ideas..ask ko lang po kung possible bang matransmit ung data galing sa isang automatic weather system papunta sa isang destination na mga 30 km o higit pa?

quick answer, yes, in a variety of ways.

pero ano nga bang type ng transmission ang tinutukoy niyo? the quickest, and perhaps the cheapest, is SMS. dahil naitayo na ng mga Telco's 'yung needed infrastructure.

Ahm..kasi po sa existing weather system yung output po naka-excel format na po.. Yung problem po kung feasible po ba na makacopy ng mcu ung excel file galing sa removable media at instant time at itratransmit nya papuntang receiver na mga 30 km po yung layo..

ano interface nung MCU? ano 'yung transmitter at receiver?

yes the MCU can copy the file (FAT system, merong ginawang project si yus somewhere in the forum na gumamit nung FAT system) or pwedeng gumawa ng macro sa Excel para mag-output sa UART ng data.

Maaccess po yung excel file galing sa weather monitoring system through usb port, tapos po yung excel file na maka-copy po sana yun po ung ittransmit dun sa receiver na mga 30 km ang layo.. Ano po bang magandang gamitin para sa transmission nung excel file? Yung hanggat maaari po maaafford ng masa?..

excel file na talaga ang output niya? depende kung anong klaseng affordability. kung gagamitin kasi talaga siya at hindi for project purposes only, mahirap magtayo ng link dahil kailangan ng licenses or operator na may license kung amateur band naman.

pwede ring GSM/GPRS padaanin, though magkakaroon ka ng bayad every transmission kaya dapat compressed data 'yung ipapadala hindi lang excel file. isa 'to sa pinaka-reliable dahil mataas na ang availability ng cellular networks.

pwede ring long haul WiFi, pero at most 3km 'yung reliable kaya 10 links talaga 'yung gagawin.

dalawa ang pwedeng gawin dun, kunin 'yung file then transfer data through text/SMS.

or connect using GPRS to internet (or 3G kung kaya ng module) tapos send file thru email.

Ahm, distributed na po commercially yung automatic weather monitoring system.. Yung mga data po galing sa sensors, naiinterpret na po agad. Madadownload po yung data na naka-excel format po.. May balak po kami na i-develop yung commercialized weather monitoring system na yun.. Tapos po ang balak po sana yung excel file na po na yun ididisseminate po locally..

isa lang ba ang magre-receive? kung GPRS 'yung transmission, pwedeng trhu e-mail kaya excel file pa rin siya.
