HELP: Interfacing E gizmo RFID reader kit with arduino duemilanove

Just bought e gizmo RFID reader kit with 3 passive RFID tags for my project.
Unfortunately, I dun have any idea on how to interface it with my arduino.
I got the e gizmo cd and didn't find any info about the RFID kit, only schematics.

Connect rx of arduino to tx of the rfid then do the same with TX of arduino with RX of rfid. don't forget the ground connection.

Thanks, I just wonder what is the function of the other jump pins.

It got set and reset buttons. I wonder if i can register the valid tags directly into the module rather than programming it in the arduino.

first think you might need to know is how the hardware works, look for circuits then build a simple reader. ibato nyo sa pc through arduino kung ano man ang nababasa nya.

no idea tlg sa arduino.. wala klc ibang available reader ako mahanap..

masyado mahal kc kung oorder ako sa sparkfun... imba ang tax sa pilipinas..

try to read about arduino's EEPROM and Serial, do some experiments habang naghihintay ka ng circuit to familiarize about it, you might need them in the future. post mo rin dito code mo para makapagcomment kami.

don't think about your design as a whole(RFID reader) but design it in modules(Serial Library, EEPROM for storing passwords, Motor control, Power supply, etc), meaning many parts

the key here is practice, practice and practice....

i have no idea tlg about how using rfid as a sensor..
san po ba nireregister ung valid RFID?

kc accdg po dun sa thread n bngay niu.. pwede stand alone mode then dun sa actual RFID module irerecord ung tag

gus2 ko sana nakarecord n dun sa module tpos pag tapon nia sa arduino marerecognize as valid RFID tag n..

patulong po.. T_T.. 1 month nlng kc ipapas q n to.. salamat po..

yung zilog MCU ang nagpaprocess nun I assume sa EEPROM nya napapastore ang info, pero gusto nyo tangalin yun diba at palitan ng arduino? pwede naman but then you have to learn how it works first to have an equivalent program for arduino.

I think I provided enough info na, kelangan lang magbasa at magpratice.

sir, un rfid po bah galing egismo makastore ng 10 rfid tags .. panu po ? wala po kming pc n host..  arduino lang po.. sa board po ng rfid reader my lcd at keyPAD  wede po dun i kabit un lcd nmin at keypad?

I'll be a good guy kasi mukhang totally clueless ka.

Bilangin mo muna kung  ilang pins available sa guizduino ,  13 digital(/pwm) i/o at 6 analog inputs but pwede din ito gawing additional digital i/o.  SInce wala ka namang analog na gagamitin, you have a total of 19 digital i/o sa guizduino for your disposal.

Then bilagin mo kung ilang pins ang gagamitin ng mga peripherals mo.
2x para sa RFID
1x (pwm) for the servo
8x for the keypad
6x for the lcd for a total of 17 pins  .... tamang tama at pwede mo pa magamit yung h/w uart ng guizduino to output debug messages to the pc for a total of 19 pins, eksaktong eksakto!.

Lahat ng peripherals mo eh connected sila lahat sa guiduino.  Gets mo na?

bakit po un pagset namin ng dynamic password sa eeprom ng gizduino.. kaylangan pa po e reset un keypad namin bago nya mapagana un servo po namin.. pag d namin nreset un keypad.. wrong password un glabas sa lcd namin? 

eeprom po bah ang my problema ??
