VB6 interfacing using USB to Serial cable...
« on: January 29, 2011, 09:16:59 AM »
Baka my link po kaau of useful tutorial about this. Maraming salamat po.  :( :( :(

Up ko lang po...
This is what i have:
1. cd-r king usb to serial cable
2. max1488 (instead of the max232)
3. pic16f628a and pic16f887
4. pickit2
5. vb6 and a little knowledge about the language

Gusto ko sana maggawa ng project na mag communicate ang aking laptop at yung PIC using UART and VB6.. Unfortunately i am very new to uC and assembly pa lang ang kaya ko. I will be reffering my codes to Nigel's RS232 tutorial. Possible kaya to? maraming salamat po..

^

your USB to Serial Cable is just a Bridge.. once the driver has been installed your Serial to USB is recognized as one of your System's COM port..

see you device manager to see what COM port number your Serial to USB Bridge is=)
