Linksys WRT54G ver. 7 Wireless Problems

I tried to look on other forums and wala akong makitang solved problem just the same problems as mine.

Ang problem, random time nagre-reset yung Router. Putol lahat ng Wireless Connection (sa Linux nag-iiba ang pangalan from Original SSID nagiging 1010) and hindi ko ma-access ang Admin page (kahit dun sa meron pa ring Wired connection).

A lot of people on other forums said that ver. 7 was junk. :'(

may solution pa kaya 'to?

according sa ibang forums humaba lang yung time na nag-random reset with firmware upgrade. pero try ko pa din.

ayaw kasi pa-upgrade ng kuya ko. wala kasi UPS sa bahay and intermittent power sa amin ngayon. hirap na baka maging brick na lang. ;D

disappointed ako with the Router dahil under pa ng Cisco ang Linksys then yung TP-Link brand na mas mura performs better.

nagkataon lang siguro na defective yung nabili mo. hindi naman kasi lahat ng product nila eh ina undergo nila sa qc eh, siguro pipili lang sila dun sa isang batch par ma test. pero magandang brand yang router mo. kabibili ko lang din at netgear yung nabili ko... ok naman yung performance nya...

try mo ding hanapan yan ng update sa firmware, baka dun mo madali yan.

hehehe. pero yung version talaga daw is junk. kaya yung iba, WRT54G ver. 4 ang hinahanap, the older ones. especially yung Linux ang firmware. the RAM was cut in half dito sa present version. dami na rin akong nakitang reklamo sa ibang forums. ;D

That is the trouble with relying on just the brand name. It is a serious problem because people often ask what is the best brand to buy and just blindly follow the advice. What is worse these companies use a popular model number and substitute inferior hardware in the newer versions.

too bad nga. nung nag-decide kuya ko na Linksys ang bilhin wala akong hesitations (yung TP-Link kasi ang sinasabi ko sa kanya dahil half the price) nung time na yun. pero too late na nung nabasa ko yung review nung latest version.

ok lang, pera naman ng kuya ko yun. ;D

siya rin naman taga-reset ko kapag nagsoft-reset na naman. ;D

baka ibalik ko na lang din yung dating Router then ikabit ko na lang yun pag may gagamit ng WiFi. pwede naman ako mag-wired sa Laptop. sa PSP na lang kailangan yung WiFi.

ang original suggestion nga pala sa ibang tech site, i-disable yung log, dahil mabilis daw nauubos yung resources nitong version na 'to. nung na-disable na, humaba lang ng konti yung time bago mag-reset.

either yung DHCP or yung connection mismo sa net siguro ang problem nitong version na 'to. ang ginawa kasi namin, yung Wired Router ang DHCP tapos para na lang sa Wireless yung WRT54G (DHCP disabled). so far, hindi na ako napuputol. lumalabas parang switch na lang siya. ;D

help din po mga master, pareho lang po ng model wrt54g version 7.00.1, 2 years na rin ito

di lang wireless nadidisconnect pati wired, kita ko yung wired lan connection madisconnect ilang seconds then online na naman, tapos makikita ko yung ilaw na parang signal dun sa router mamatay tapos iilaw uli

halos araw araw, ganun ang problem, me times na continues ang surfing pero bigla na lang ma didisconnect

wierd pa nito minsan nag iiba ssid, x ang nakikita ko na ssid, nakakonek ako sa router pero pag ping ko yung router request time out.

me solusyon pa kayo ito o kelangan na palitan?

ano preffered na brand nyo in case palitan na namin ito?

i also have a strange case sa mga router na luma, na nasisira yung power supply. typical na 5v 2amps na supply. check din po. kasi minsan nagloloko yung psu. nageeratic yung router. (the power supply pa naman yung pinaka hindi tinitignan nang mga computer technician.)

ok na 'yung Router sis Martin, pero ginamit ko na lang siya as WiFi Access Point, nakakabit siya sa ASUS Router ko.

na try ko na reset sa default, alang pagbabago

try ko na rin palitan power adaptor, 12 v lang naman adaptor nito, i change it to a regulated 1 amp 12 v supply, pero ganun pa rin ang problem
