The XB series is designed 9 LEDs in a string and total 6 Strings. XB series LED backlight kit comes with a custom Converter. By Upgrading to XB Series, The brightness level will be increasing about 100% compare with CCFL Lamp.

How to connect LED converter?
Identify the pin assignment of your inverter.*
Obtain MS406LEDC converter pin assignment*
Match pin assignments and Connector MS406LEDC to the inverter’s wire harness

Follow these 3 easy steps to upgrading from CCFL to LED Backlight:
Step1:
Disassembly Laptop screen, It is the exact same procedure as replacing CCFL backlight Lamp. Set aside CCFL Reflector assembly (No longer need it).
Remove double side tape cover on LED Strip
Step2:
Tape XB LED Strip at the bottom edge of Laptop Screen, where it use to mount CCFL Backlight.
Step3:
Re-assembly Laptop screen. It is the exact same procedure as replacing CCFL backlight Lamp. Connect Flat cable to LED Converter.
Connecting LED converter to Laptop computer:
XB Series LED converter (MS406LEDC) is designed to be direct replacement of the Laptop inverter. The input pin assignments are compatible with most of Inverter. However, in some cases, you cannot find your model listed. Then you need to purchase a universal XB Kit. This kit comes with a 6 pin wire harness.
