 guys,

 anu ba talaga real part # ng 24pin IC na gamit dito?? Is it really a DK9501 chip?? the part number seems ERASED sa mga kits nila... any ideas???

hmmm. mukhang normal practice na nila yan ah.

yun kasing IC nila for sound recording, iba yung part number na nakasulat, jumbled nung original part. Maxim ata yung IC talaga.

in fairness, I understand naman cla
because it cost them too much to run it.
build your own na lang cguro hanap ka ng circuit online
im sure may makikita ka. :)

 well, dami kasi mga digital echo ICs dyan.. hanap ko sa gogle meron BL0306, M65831, M65845, PT2395 pero no idea if ever may nagbebenta dito sa pinas ng ganyan... la pa ako nakita na 24pin with same chip pinout functions... oh well  :P

 im not planning to build one.. meron na ako kit na nabili(fr alexan) digital delay fx(issue #60)...im planning to remove //hack the digital delay chip+dram para gawing digital mike echo....in the future pa, la pa budget.. :D

This practice is unfortunate, pero agree ako sa observation mo, they have to do it to protect their investments. It cost so much to develop even a seemingly simple circuit (ask our freelancers to get an idea), and you can't stay in this kind of business for long if you can't find a way to recoup your investments.

Electronics kit design and development is really not a profitable business. Just take a look around how our traditional local kits makers are doing and you will know what I mean. Alexan appeared to have stopped building new kits and may have just set its sight to the more profitable part of their business. My friends and owners of e-gizmo takes jeepneys and the LRT everyday because they could not afford to gas up their car. Miyama of Deeco appeared to have stopped building new kit too. CMC, Celco? I don't know... :'(

If you can still remember, yung SMG kits sa raon, yung nag bebenta ng
amplifiers and preamps and some kits? same thing
binubura nila yung mga number ng output transistors :)
pag nde mo ginawa ito, kokopyahin lang yung design mo
then later on wala ka nang customer kc lantad na design mo
so luge na.  ;D 
do you have any idea kung ano na ang nangyari sa celco
dati they are really doing good tapos bigla nalang nawala :(   ???

mahirap talaga sa Kit business. especially ngayon na halos lahat makikita mo na sa internet. pati nga pala sa former work ko, binubura nila yung pangalan ng IC. :D

 I think yung kit yan sa Alexan Volume 5... may 2 TA7317 chips ba?? digital echo karaoke ata yan..hehe

 sa akin walang transformer kasi intended for guitar fx gadget..

self made markings lang yang DK9501, it was actually an HT8955A from Holtek, depth & delay can be extended with the use of 256kb DRAM chip....
