Soda Water Solar Bulb, a liter of light
« on: April 26, 2011, 07:25:22 PM »
Just watched the news and saw this solar buld using a plastic liter bottle filled with clean water and bleach.  Done some GMGs and lux intensity is equivalent to a 50W incandacesnt bulb.

This is a very good project specially for the depressed areas.  I was just thinking how this technology can be applied to our typical homes na may mga kisame.  In my case, I live in a two story house and have sufficient light coming from the windows during daytime.   However,  downstairs there is a room with no windows.  Pwede kaya iredirect yung light using pvc pipes used for water?

Will try to experiment on this kung pwede, parang gumamit ka ng pvc tubes filled with the liquid to another soda bottle inside the room ala fiber optic cable.

parang ganito 'yung light tubes:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light_tube

:D kaya nagkakabutas-butas at tumutulo kapag umuulan.
