Ewan ko nga ba! dagdaggan ko pa, ang current daw flows from negative to positive yon daw talaga ang nangyayari, baliktad daw lahat yong conventional flow natin, dapat daw from negative to positive, hindi ko ma imagine papaano gagawa ng schematic na ganon eh! :D :D :D lalo na sa analogs... ???

clean earth - is an isolated grounding and is not connected to any existing electrical grounding or to the grounding of the building. usually, ibinabaon nang metal rod sa lupa then they measure the sorounding resistance at around 1 ohm. Yong signal ground nang panel should be connected to "clean earth"  while the Electrical ground should be connected to the building's grounding loop. The Equipment that requires this "clean earth"  are those that process data or information such as PABX, Firedetection Panels, Audio/Video system, Broadcasting equipments..etc.

dirty earth - is the building grounding loop, o ito yung earthing para sa buong building. Dirty ito dahil maraming ELECTRICAL NOISE which is emanated from different electrical equipment such as Electrical motors, Electronic Ballast, Electronic Transformers...etc   (So that is why we cannot use this grounding for our signal-ground)

Instrument Earth - Hmmm similar yata ito sa "Clean Earth".

 ;) ;) ;)

Most of the time the main cause of noisy circuit is how the grounding path are being executed.

If you happen to have 5 devices that needs common grounding connection, each of the 5 devices should be terminated independently with each other to a common grounding (meaning kailangan mong mag batak nang cable from each device all the way to a common ground). This resembles a star configuration. Avoid a daisy chain-like grounding connection coz this is the main culprit!

Even in PCB designs, the grounding paths of each area should have an independent route all the way to the common point. Groundings for the signal, Load and Power should also have each separate routing...else suffer the consequences ;)

just an additonal info mga m8's:clean earth-normally used for low voltage devices, dirty earth -normally used for high voltage devices and instrument earth-normally used for instrument control system(all shielded wires twisted and connected together) .thanks and more power.......
