 guys/gals,

 have a look...

plan ko rin gawin yan... still gathering the required info pa....buti sana if meron mag bigay ng mini 12V operated B/W TV to play with.. hehe

>> but some circuit needs to be added for input , etc etc ....timing, div...

ok din 'to ah..  ;D

di pa.. just a quick experiment ko lang yan...I have seen almost all na ginanito ang hardware, ganito talaga ang orientation nila... seems like there is "something" sa freq in horizontal and vertical scanning...I have a dead PC monitor here, DEAD talaga pero nag bli blink lang yung LED power ind nya.. strong hint horizontal transistor lang sira nito...maybe this is better to play with, compared sa TV?? kasi pwede mo siguro maiba yung scanning freq nya(para stable yung display sa CRT with inputs)...

Back to topic,

are you reffering on using the CRT for scope? :)

or ang mas maganda, gawin syang parehong oscilloscope saka freq. counter..

The reason kung bakit ang horizontal coil ang ginagamit nila for the signal is mas mataas ang frequency cutoff ng horizontal coil (which translates to wider bandwidth). The vertical deflection coil is capable of displaying up to a few hundred Hz only. Kung gusto mong orient ang display sa 'tamang' ikot, madali lang- I am not talking of standing your TV on its side. Ikot mo lang ang deflection yoke ;D

Nevertheless, you should be aware of the vertical (signal) limitation of this setup, hanggang audio frequencies lang ang kayang display nito. You can stretch the bandwidth a bit more by driving the coil with high voltage drivers.

Finally, make sure yung brigthness ng TV is nakaset sa tamang brightness lang to prevent burning your CRT face. ;)
Electronics <- Once you got a taste of it, you will never get enough.

Insanity <- Doing the same thing, expecting different results.
