wah! insulto...

A Computer is a programmable device, hardware or software abstracted... capable of performing a specific (the more specific, the better) and defined instructions as stated by the programmer. Afterso, these defined instructions performed by the computer is a sort of assistance for people in the technological era.

ang computer enginnering ginagawa lahat ng works of com sci and it while yung mga ginagwa ng COE eh hindi lahat nagagawa ng IT at comsci..like robotics and circuitry.

^really? well sa office namin, COE at IT pantay lang, same ng trabaho, same ng field. Hindi naman ako mag-agree na hindi kayan gawin ng IT ang comsci ang robotics and circuitry ng CoE since IT curriculum sa school namin ay may ES at Electronics1, Digital and logic circuit design, same goes with the CS just eliminate the ES and Electronics1. i think yung "capability" ng isang tao from a certain field ay depende talaga sa "initiative" at "urge" nya na matuto at i-improve yung sarili nya.

if you're a CoE,IT,CS or whatever your field and do not strive for self improvement, wala ka rin sinabi sa mga individual na actively and always striving to improve themselves.

I would say sa career walang pagkakaiba yan, nasa skills yan...

Opinion ko lang po [im a computer engineering graduate from MSU-IIT]

Computer Engineering: Pretty close to electrical engineering [its like EE with out power systems] [Like ECE with out communications] plus [computer science minus a little computation].

Computer Science: a little farther from electrical engineering [but they have the same roots] deals with complexity and computation. If you want to crunch data on servers and do algorithms go here.

Information Tech: the application side of computer science, here instead of dealing with the lagorithm and computation it deals with the actual application of a certain algorithm or a result of the specific algorithm.

ex. Google == implementation of computer hardware[computer engineering] + database access and data design[computer science] + web and applications[IT]

pili na kayo ng field and lets build a happy world full of electrons, sites, transistors and smileys..

parang mga comp engr kasi nagiging programmer nalang ng java or web apps eh, merun ba tayong computer hardware manufacturing plant dito?

Correct me if I am wrong. It seems like more of the art and less of the science. What I don't get is you can't apply algorithms and computation without the knowledge or dealing with it. It the same difference between a Chemist and a Cook (Chef naman)?
