Important question about EXPIRED ECE/PECE LICENSE ID (Share your opinion)

Mga bro. kapag expired na ang ECE/PECE license ID natin at hindi na renew sa PRC hindi na ba tayo maka practice as ECE/PECE?

Naka lagay ba sa BATAS na kung expired na ang license ID mo hindi ka na ECE or engineer? Or nakalagay ba sa BATAS na dapat hindi expired ang license ID mo to practice your profession?

Any legal opinion about this?

Bro. republic act 5734 is revised by Republic Act 9292, ECE need to update and renew licensed to PECE,  PECE  lang authorized mag signed ng plan as an engineer according to new IRR of national building code, kasi dati di tayo kasama kasi ang nag signed dati ay electrical engineer pero ngayun covered na tayo ng bagong law.

Try mo bro. magtanong sa IECEP kung ano ang guidelines para ma update yun licensed mo na expired, kasi our profession divided into 3 category the PECE, ECE and ECT and all Electronics and Communication Engineer licenses is expired according to new encted law RA9292.

gud day, i think sir wag kau s iecep mag inquire f it is still possible for us to practice our profession inspite of an expired prc card, of course they would say that its not anymore possible because they are the ones pursuing for the conversion/renewal of our prc card periodically ( hehehe, this goes with the reason that they get to generate income every time a collegue pays membership and/or avail of seminars from them...). I think its best if you ask other ECEs with the same case/s, they would be honest in their opinion.
As with me, i think its ok to still practice our profession even if our card is already expired as long as we do not sign anything and tagging along  our PRC number kc po if its illegal anymore to do so, abah, baka wala n tau ikabuhay dpo ba? pls correct me also if im wrong.tnx and godbless...

ako kc almost three years ng expired pero i still have my work..pero need pa rin magrenew kc requirement for processing of some papers..
nagrenew ako ng id sa  prc manila sabay na ung conversion to electronics engineer..babalikan ko pa lang dis september..almost 2 months din kc ang processing sa prc..

ang inaalala ko lang pag pinabayaan natin expired ang license natin eh baka tanggalin tayo sa rooster of ECE, at yan eh nasasaad sa bagong ECE law RA9292

2-mos? ..that's a very long period of waiting.. akala ko nasa 1-week or 2-weeks lang.. dati kasi nung nag-pa renew ako mga ganun lang..

pero pagmay kasama ng complications like "change of name, address, status, at kung ano ano pa" dun na tumatagal ang processing. 

1K plus ata ang conversion plus renewal.

Di tayo pwede tanggalan ng license just because di tayo nagrerenew... pwede lang tayo tanggalin sa roster which would mean.. mawawala tayo sa mga public documents issued by IECEP-PRC at kung mag-cross/double check ang mga employers natin (na hindi naman nila normally ginagawa) makikita nila na wala tayo sa roster at pagduduhan ang pagigi natin inhinyero. yun lang! bow

OK lang kung wala kang plan na lumipat ng company. Pag naghanap ka ng bago kailangan talaga updated license mo para hindi ka pagdudahan ng employer.

hehe sa akin naman po nkapagrenew pa ako sa PRC last yr. tsaka lumabas na ang IRR ng RA 9292, kelangang dw ulit ako mgparenew pra sa conversion... hihintayin ko na lng mg expire ulit to la namn cguro problema...

That's OK if you have no plan to apply for PECE. Just wait for your license to expire and renew to save money.

Sa nagyon pwede ka pa mag renew/convert na walang CPE units. After three years na mag expire yung pinarenew mo ngayon kailangan mo na ng 60 CPE units. Hahanapan ka na nun kaya wala kang lusot sa year 2011.

Hmmm... baka by that time hahanapan ka. Ang pagka-alam ko kung under pa sa R.A. 5734 license mo then pa convert mo sa R.A. 9292 no need CPE units pero pag pinarenew mo ang license mo na under R.A. 9292 hahanapan ka na ng CPE units. By the way for the info of others yung license na nakalagay is "Electronics and Communications Engineer" yun ang under sa R.A. 5734. Pag "Electronics Engineer" naman under ka na sa R.A. 9292. Yung mga Radio Telephone Operator pa convert kayo (apply with exam) sa ECT or tinatawag na Electronics Technician sa R.A. 9292. Kailangan nyo lng certification ng 3 PECE yata.
