Hi.. Im a 5th year student and in need of thesis topic.. I browsed this topic "RF transceiver (Zigbee/X-Bee) based energy meter monitoring system. (Energy Meter reading on PC over wireless comm.)" Pls help me on what should i read in order to study this topic.. any help will be much appreciated.. Thank you.

you should start at programming. if you have a basic c or visual basic
then jump to microcontroller programming. arduino is a good step to start with (e-gizmo has one locally)
then read what zigbee is all about...

don't google for "energy management specially on dormitories" that's plain stupid.

try finding ebooks on programming in arduino.
how to measure kilowatt hours.
how zigbee works. perhaps download the datasheet of it.
