help: serial communication with PIC16F877A

ginaya ko po ung connection sa picture 1 tapos nagtry ako nung sample program sa mikroC about UART kasi nga gusto kung matuto ng serial communication gamit ay pic16f877a ok naman ung pag build na burn ko na rin sa pic ko kaso nung ginamit ko ung usart terminal para icheck ayun ung lumabas sa picture 2. nung nag send ako ng 'a' walang lumabas na received kung anu-anong leters na ang sinend ko walang narereceived ung Usart terminal. diba dapat kapag nagsend ako ng 'a' dapat may a den lalabas.

Bale ganito dapat ung format:
Sent: a
Received: a

yan yung gus2 kong mangyare pero bat ayaw.

tska pasinin nio ung dalawang Received sa picture 2 ung nasa usart terminal after mareceived ung word na "Start" nagkaroon pa ng garbage value tapos hiwalay pa ung 'S' sa "tart". Pahelp naman kelangan ko kasing matuto actually may gui pa dapat yan sa C# kaso eto muna ung inaaral ko.

yan po tapos tinatry ko ung code sa picture 2.

additional info: 16MHZ crystal, USB-to-serial gamet kong cable from PIC16F877A to computer laptop po kasi gamet ko eh wala siang serial port

Don't get discouraged by those so called "EXPERT"! I can tell you most of the time they "TALK" only but with no practical results.

Put a .1uF across the VDD and VSS pins as near as possible sa PIC po.
By the way hindi ba ito naka bread board sir?

naka breadboard po. Bale papalitan ko ung 104 na capacitor ng .1uF, so dalawang ganun. tama bo ba sir?

^ Huwag lang palitan, 104=.1uC, ilagay lang as close as possible sa PIC mo sir.
Naka breadboard pala, most probably yan po ang dahilan. Baka meron mga loose contacts or may noise sa RX/TX line mo sir.
I know these is a dumb question, but matanong lang po, may suppy ba ang max232 mo sir?

104 at 0.1uF pareho lang yun. lagyan mo sa VDD at VSS ng PIC at MAX, dagdagan mo na rin ng 100uF sa 5VDC.

Ahahahaha may +1 ka sa akin TS pinatawa mo ako. ;D
Na remember ko nangyari din ito noon. Nagpatulong yung classmate ko, halos isang oras tini troubleshoot namin, I assumed may supply na yung max232, yun pala wala. ;D
