Nasa sample sketches na yan ng arduino ide and already built-in sa core ng arduino.  Nasa arduino.cc din yung mga samples and documentation besides numerous blogs and sites featuring arduino.   Lahat na nakalatag unless you want to go the paid option!  :o ;D ;D

Since may available ng atmega328p na pdip sa Alexan, I upgraded my severino board from atmega8l to atmega328.  I used the optiboot bootloader as used by the arduino uno.   Select the board as arduino uno and auto reset when uploading the sketch works perfectly fine.  I tried using the cheap cdrkig usb-rs232 dongle as well as an ftdi based usb-rs232.

I'd suggest you upgrade the bootloader to optiboot so that sketch upload will be twice faster. Board selection would be arduino uno instead of duemilanove.   Already upgraded my aceduino328 to optiboot.
